About every day.

Alright Noel?

(, Mon 13 Jun 2011, 20:20, Reply)
I'd love to say yes
but the past few days have been pretty stressful. Quiet night in tonight though, gonna head to bed with a book in a short while. Things settled back down now?
(, Mon 13 Jun 2011, 20:22, Reply)
Swap you.
I thought they had, but... constant undermining by the grandparents is not helping.
(, Mon 13 Jun 2011, 20:23, Reply)
Aha, I wondered what that was.
I reckon a sword on your belt would help. A nice long sharp sword in a sheath. It'll give you an air of purpose and remind people that you can fuck them up if they cross you.
(, Mon 13 Jun 2011, 20:25, Reply)
I'm ready to blow big style with them.
They're really not helping our cause at all. They just pander to him, whilst simultaneously complaining that he's taking the piss.

"Here's a box of Worther's Original Chocolates, now stay the fuck out of it."

(, Mon 13 Jun 2011, 20:31, Reply)
Sorry to hear that DG.

"if you like their rules, go live with them"

(, Mon 13 Jun 2011, 20:26, Reply)
They wouldn't last a fucking week.
I'm tempted though, really sorely tempted.
(, Mon 13 Jun 2011, 20:29, Reply)
Sorry to whinge on and stuff, btw.
Normal service will be resumed as soon as possible.
(, Mon 13 Jun 2011, 20:29, Reply)
if the grandparents will have them, I'd do it
I don't have kids, but I know my dad, and if I did that, they'd be begging to come back before the weekend.
(, Mon 13 Jun 2011, 20:31, Reply)
They think they have equal say on how he's brought up, though.
Yet are completely unwilling to take any responsibility for their complicity in his actions.

Any good points he has are intrinsic, yet any shittiness is down to us.
(, Mon 13 Jun 2011, 20:36, Reply)
if all parties are game
then I think Kristine's scheme has merit
(, Mon 13 Jun 2011, 20:37, Reply)
I would fucking love to.
Swipey's bash is going to be a test of nerve. We'll be taking SJ's key from him, delivering him to his grandparent's, and taking their's from them as well because we can't trust them not to let him have access to the house.

That'll go down like a turd in a swimming pool.
(, Mon 13 Jun 2011, 20:39, Reply)
Change the locks.

(, Mon 13 Jun 2011, 20:42, Reply)
Skint.

(, Mon 13 Jun 2011, 20:42, Reply)
don't blame you at all though
must be hard having to deal with the grandparents and their attitude, but you are definitely going the right way about it
(, Mon 13 Jun 2011, 20:42, Reply)
Fanny + sew + shut.
Remember that, Vippers.
(, Mon 13 Jun 2011, 20:46, Reply)
but they're not the fucking parents are they?
I obviously don't know the whole story.
But, if you know the kid(s) are safe, and the grandparents will have them, send them off. It'll relieve some stress off you both.
(, Mon 13 Jun 2011, 20:39, Reply)
Try telling them that.
Like I say they think they have equal say, even when we try and point out that we need to be consistent and supportive of each other.

I'm getting angry now, I think I'll go and mash my head with a hammer to relieve the fucking tension. I can't wait until I finish work, one less pile of shite to deal with.
(, Mon 13 Jun 2011, 20:45, Reply)
It sounds harsh
but since you seem to be going through a rough period with him, maybe scale back the interaction with the grandparents for a couple of weeks
(, Mon 13 Jun 2011, 20:49, Reply)
That would be an idea
but short of tying him to his bed, I can't see that working.
(, Mon 13 Jun 2011, 20:51, Reply)
this makes me so mad
and I don't even know them
I'm sorry you have to deal with that, but if it continues you'll probably have to keep them away
(, Mon 13 Jun 2011, 20:52, Reply)
I've met them and they're lovely.
They just love their only grandchild and I think, don't fully understand the implications of his mental state and the need for firm and consistent handling of him.

Am I right DG?
(, Mon 13 Jun 2011, 20:55, Reply)
I think you've hit the nail on the head, there.
Plus a bit of overcompensating. *taps nose*
(, Mon 13 Jun 2011, 20:57, Reply)
I didn't say they weren't, I don't know them.
But they're not his parents.
(, Mon 13 Jun 2011, 21:01, Reply)
There is this as well.
I'M SO CONFUSED!!!!!!
(, Mon 13 Jun 2011, 21:02, Reply)
If they're undermining you and your wifey then you need to keep them away or at least talk to them until they understand what they're doing is hurting your family.

(, Mon 13 Jun 2011, 21:06, Reply)
They only live a ten minute walk away though
and it's on the way to his school. Try telling him not to call in for a fag on his way there or back.
(, Mon 13 Jun 2011, 21:08, Reply)
sorry man, I don't know any kid that hangs out with his grandparents that much

(, Mon 13 Jun 2011, 21:10, Reply)
kill them

(, Mon 13 Jun 2011, 20:40, Reply)
How's the camcorder thing going?
I signed up :)
(, Mon 13 Jun 2011, 20:21, Reply)
Thanks hon.
I'd say "in the bag" as this morning I had five mutual friends who liked it and now I have 45. I reckon maybe 25+ of those are through me but who knows, it's going for four weeks and I'm loathe to spam it again, so someone might overtake me I guess.
(, Mon 13 Jun 2011, 20:24, Reply)
me too, I didn't read it, can you give me a brief synopsis.

(, Mon 13 Jun 2011, 20:31, Reply)
Pimp thing, daughter gets camcorder.

(, Mon 13 Jun 2011, 20:31, Reply)
