no one cares about your IQ
the average level of intelligence on here is considerably higher than the norm. Don't act like you are better than anyone and you will do fine, no matter what your views.
You will notice that I am almost unbearably smug, and yet (at least a few) people like me. A big ego and being liked are not necessarily mututally exclusive.

I think Wormulus is excellent
but also, he doesn't care.
Freefair clearly does care, so he should stop.

I've missed that picture
however, consider this:
most people are really fucking stupid right? Even the blithering idiots on here can muster a higher average intelligence than the norm.

I'm just being a cunt.
I reckon most people on here are around 5% more intelligent than the norm. Maybe even 7%.

I do believe the average intelligence round here is much higher than normal.
I also believe that some people have too high expectations as to the grammatical standards of the average adolescent Facebook user.

being able to use proper grammar is not too high an expectation.
As with all things though, the pedantry is a way to alleviate the boredom. You are never going to not make mistakes, and the abuse is never going to stop, so there is no point in questioning it.

Minimum standards of grammar are required. Largely correct spelling goes uncommented on.

You led us to believe we should expect a high standard of your posts
with your claim that your vocabulary is more expansive than the average British person's vocabulary.

Boasted, in fact.
Then claimed high intelligence and told us all how great his grades were.
It's fair enough to say that people ought to hold low expectations of him and it's fair enough to be proud of your achievements. Expecting both is being a twat.

In fairness to the lad
Based on what he told me of his predicted grades he's likely been living in something of a bubble of praise from teachers and parents, and would therefore be unused to being upbraided by bitter cunts like us.
Your last point is beautifully put, mind.

Most of us wouldn't use the same word twice in one sentence
Especially if the offending word was intended to underline a point.

it's all a little odd, is it not?

And then they turn up on my degree programme expecting to be spoonfed,
saying things like "do we have to learn this, is it on the exam?", and claiming they've paid for their IIi.
It's enough to make me strike.
