I've been okay so far this year

(, Tue 21 Jun 2011, 20:35, 1 reply, 15 years ago)
Really???
Fucking hell we must be allergic to totally different pollens then because I'm destroyed.
Your day will come...
(, Tue 21 Jun 2011, 20:36, Reply)
Usually I'm really bad.
I end up taking all manner of pills and sprays, but so far this year it hasn't been bad at all.

I'm sure it'll catch up with me sooner rather than later, but my nose has been fine so far.
(, Tue 21 Jun 2011, 20:38, Reply)
Or maybe different parts of the country at different times.
Where are you? It's like invisible burny fluff up here.
(, Tue 21 Jun 2011, 20:39, Reply)
I'm in Bristol

(, Tue 21 Jun 2011, 20:40, Reply)
Oh aye. I knew that as well.

(, Tue 21 Jun 2011, 20:47, Reply)
I always wondered what it must be like to suffer from hay fever.

(, Tue 21 Jun 2011, 20:40, Reply)
You feel like ripping your kite off Guv.

(, Tue 21 Jun 2011, 20:40, Reply)
Sounds ghastly.
Alright Gazza?
(, Tue 21 Jun 2011, 20:41, Reply)
Sound mate.
Having a chillout evening and internetting and that. You?
(, Tue 21 Jun 2011, 20:43, Reply)
Pretty much the same
and also looking forward to having some free time courtesy of my impending redundancy. I need some careers advice.
(, Tue 21 Jun 2011, 20:45, Reply)
Let's start a business

(, Tue 21 Jun 2011, 20:47, Reply)
What do you suggest?

(, Tue 21 Jun 2011, 20:47, Reply)
Crime fighters

(, Tue 21 Jun 2011, 20:48, Reply)
I dunno, I'm a bit out of shape.
Spandex wouldn't suit me at the moment.
(, Tue 21 Jun 2011, 20:54, Reply)
What about nice baggy kecks

(, Tue 21 Jun 2011, 20:57, Reply)
But then I wouldn't be all streamlined and shit.
Can we not just nick stuff instead?
(, Tue 21 Jun 2011, 20:58, Reply)
I can't.
Despite my heritage, I really can't.
(, Tue 21 Jun 2011, 21:01, Reply)
YOU'RE NO FUN ANYMORE GARY!

(, Tue 21 Jun 2011, 21:03, Reply)
I'd get us caught.
Me and my mum go faint when people nick.
(, Tue 21 Jun 2011, 21:03, Reply)
Well the Self Employment route
Is terrifying. I've picked up some work but it's hard.

It's a blast though - I've not worked my mind or my personality so hard in years.
(, Tue 21 Jun 2011, 20:50, Reply)
I'd thought about that
but the current domestic situation is not the perfect environment or mental place to be trying to do this, unfortunately.
(, Tue 21 Jun 2011, 20:54, Reply)
I'm enjoying it
It's not paying the bills but I've only been trading for 21 days.

It's seat of yer pants stuff at the moment - I'm not a charming person but I've got to try and be.

Oddly I'm actually loving the selling bit.
(, Tue 21 Jun 2011, 21:04, Reply)
I've been self-employed for nine years.
I don't make a living, but then again, I only put in about 16-20 hours a week. Basically I make enough that I don't need to work in a boring, soul-sucking job.
(, Tue 21 Jun 2011, 21:26, Reply)
What do you do, b3th?

(, Tue 21 Jun 2011, 21:32, Reply)
I sell crap on eBay
The only downside is that my house full of assorted detritus. And packing materials. And jiffy bags.
(, Tue 21 Jun 2011, 21:42, Reply)
What sort of shite do you sell on ebay?

(, Tue 21 Jun 2011, 21:43, Reply)
all sorts of shit

(, Tue 21 Jun 2011, 21:50, Reply)
Old comics and random bits of electrical equipment.

(, Tue 21 Jun 2011, 21:52, Reply)
also old toys, ornaments and cosmetics
and any other old shite I can find.
(, Tue 21 Jun 2011, 21:53, Reply)
Where do you get your stock from?

(, Tue 21 Jun 2011, 21:55, Reply)
Roota, innit?

(, Tue 21 Jun 2011, 22:06, Reply)
I do a tad of ebay trading myself.
Primarily model railway stuff because I know the market.

If I could make it into my main business I would, but there's too many people out there now.

Bedtime for me.
(, Tue 21 Jun 2011, 21:49, Reply)
It's shit DG

(, Tue 21 Jun 2011, 20:41, Reply)
Are you saying that having hay fever is shit
or that I'm shit? commas are everything, you know.
(, Tue 21 Jun 2011, 20:42, Reply)
You'll never know!

(, Tue 21 Jun 2011, 20:42, Reply)
Based on the general flow of the conversation
I'm going with the former and crossing my fingers really hard.
(, Tue 21 Jun 2011, 20:44, Reply)
And you'd be right.

(, Tue 21 Jun 2011, 20:50, Reply)
It's fucking awful
It's like having bricks in your sinuses and tear ducts.
(, Tue 21 Jun 2011, 20:44, Reply)
No it's like having spider webs made of burny and itchy all over your face and in your eyes and up your nose

(, Tue 21 Jun 2011, 20:46, Reply)
I get bricks
I get a head that I can't move for it's solidness.
(, Tue 21 Jun 2011, 20:53, Reply)
Ooh I get a bit of a headache but none of that sheeeit

(, Tue 21 Jun 2011, 20:57, Reply)
I'm amazed
Because I've really been fucked this year. Some years are worse than others but I've been suffering since late April.
(, Tue 21 Jun 2011, 20:42, Reply)
Me too
