Ugh, mushy peas
is there anything else so pitifully lower class?
(, Fri 8 Jul 2011, 21:52, 1 reply, 15 years ago)
I love mushy peas : (

(, Fri 8 Jul 2011, 21:53, Reply)
yes dear, but you're northern
and therefor lower class by definition.
(, Fri 8 Jul 2011, 21:55, Reply)
I'm Northern
And hate mushy peas. The Devil's snot.

I have balsamic vinigar in my kitchen cupboard.
What do you have?
(, Fri 8 Jul 2011, 21:57, Reply)
Mould
and some nice cider, I know which I shall be drinking.
(, Fri 8 Jul 2011, 21:58, Reply)
Well save the cider for me then.

(, Fri 8 Jul 2011, 22:01, Reply)
you might not like it
it's poncy southern muck, but it's going nicely with cheescake.
(, Fri 8 Jul 2011, 22:02, Reply)
CHEESECAKE!!!
Save some for me.
(, Fri 8 Jul 2011, 22:06, Reply)
Not sure it'll last that long
*takes another bite*, no definitely won't, but I can always get some more, do you like Blackcurrant?
(, Fri 8 Jul 2011, 22:08, Reply)
Yes I do.
But I prefer American.
(, Fri 8 Jul 2011, 22:09, Reply)
Key Lime Pie
I stand second to no man in my espousal of Key Lime Pie.
(, Fri 8 Jul 2011, 22:12, Reply)
isn't that just a weird lemon meringue pie?
and lemon meringue pie is shit.
(, Fri 8 Jul 2011, 22:22, Reply)
There are two key words here
One is LIME - the other is LEMON.

So, no.

(, Fri 8 Jul 2011, 22:07, Reply)
Oh, I thought you were quoting from the final season of Battlestar
If you weren't, you'd have looked much cooler to pretend you were
(, Fri 8 Jul 2011, 22:10, Reply)
lay off foxtrot
she's sad and geeky enough already.

No offence Cap'n
(, Fri 8 Jul 2011, 22:14, Reply)
There is nothing sad about liking Battlestar Galactica
Best television programme ever made. Also, the Captain and I have many a shared geeky interest
(, Fri 8 Jul 2011, 22:15, Reply)
No it isn't
it's probably OK, but as long as Firefly exists in the same universe you can kiss my arse.
(, Fri 8 Jul 2011, 22:19, Reply)
I'm afraid this man is right
firefly is the best thing ever

/ruins it by pointing out Im planning to go on a firefly larp next year
(, Fri 8 Jul 2011, 22:21, Reply)
Me or him?
They do Firefly Larp? Bagsy Wash! I think this might be neough to tempt me into your sordid little world Cap'n
(, Fri 8 Jul 2011, 22:23, Reply)
You - Firefly is awesome you don't play characters from the show
you don't play characters from the show you play in the world, though.

My crew are going to be a new media ship called the Sans Serif- i'm going to try getting some mini dv cameras and film stuff/get biased interviews and the like and then hack it together between events. I might have to base my character on that NOTW woman, now
(, Fri 8 Jul 2011, 22:26, Reply)
Awsome.
I have a trench coat and a cowboy hat and I can probably mock up a decent gun can I play? Can I, can I, can I?
(, Fri 8 Jul 2011, 22:29, Reply)
nothing stopping you

(, Fri 8 Jul 2011, 22:30, Reply)
*dons hat and coat, starts whistling Firefly theme*

(, Fri 8 Jul 2011, 22:35, Reply)
Firefly is superb, don't get me wrong
But if you haven't seen BSG I don't think you're qualified to state that Firefly is better. I can assure you that as an admirer of intelligent sci-fi you'll love it
(, Fri 8 Jul 2011, 22:27, Reply)
I've seen bits, was unimpressed
But it's on my love film queue so will give it a fair shake. However, frankly, I cannot see it winning in a month of Sundays. I do like intelligent SciFi, but sadly so little of what makes it to TV qualifies
(, Fri 8 Jul 2011, 22:31, Reply)
Oh, I quite agree
That's exactly why I was so impressed with BSG. It's not something you can dip in and out of. However, regardless, I shan't be lambasting anyone with a love of Firefly.
(, Fri 8 Jul 2011, 22:34, Reply)
OK, will suspend judgement
But I shall be amazed if I agree with you.
(, Fri 8 Jul 2011, 22:36, Reply)
it is surprisingly good
although it has the odd 'filler' episode. But then again I suspect Firefly would if they hadn't canned it half way through the first series
(, Fri 8 Jul 2011, 22:39, Reply)
I might admit
on pain of torture, you understand, that had it run for several seasons Firefly might possibly have been a gnats whisker less awesome.
(, Fri 8 Jul 2011, 22:46, Reply)
Watch it from the start
and bear in mind that it was written with the full arc in mind, the characters develop constantly.

OK am going to stop going on about this now. Give it a fair shake and if you don't like it, fair enough.
(, Fri 8 Jul 2011, 22:40, Reply)
The Cap'n recommends it
and it may surprise you to learn I respect her taste.
(, Fri 8 Jul 2011, 22:47, Reply)
then you may have taken
a wrong turn in life
(, Fri 8 Jul 2011, 22:48, Reply)
This is likely true
are you the old woman in the cave with the photocoppier?
(, Fri 8 Jul 2011, 22:59, Reply)
this is a fair description of me, yes

(, Fri 8 Jul 2011, 23:04, Reply)
Cavy, Cavy Cavy
don't be so hard on your self.
(, Fri 8 Jul 2011, 23:08, Reply)
that's about right
but what bothers me is that I've not seen past the start of series 3, he's being mean by rubbing it in
(, Fri 8 Jul 2011, 22:16, Reply)
It's not like the remaining episodes have disappeared into the ether
You're doing yourself a disservice by not watching them
(, Fri 8 Jul 2011, 22:17, Reply)
I know, but it involved either downloading something
or buying something and that's effort. Then I'd have to get round to watching them...wait...it's summer holidays soon!
(, Fri 8 Jul 2011, 22:18, Reply)
*facepalms hard enough to require rhinoplasty*

(, Fri 8 Jul 2011, 22:20, Reply)
Don't worry BGB,
The soft cunts would lap it up if it was in a ramekin and called 'minted purée de petit pois'.

Hahaha!
Innit.
(, Fri 8 Jul 2011, 22:00, Reply)
I will tell you this, Roota
You can call it an unfortunate by-product of my loveless marriage to a horse-faced braying beagle of a woman, but had I the opportunity I would totally hunt you through the fields on horseback before hanging your head over my mantle and bragging about the chase to my similarly chinless friends with whom the only commonality I share is a memory of schoolyard bullying and latent homosexuality.

And that's the best compliment I can give you.

Rah rah!

(, Fri 8 Jul 2011, 22:02, Reply)
Oh Blouise, you really are northern, aren't you? :(((
I don't think even the best finishing school could help you now.
(, Fri 8 Jul 2011, 21:58, Reply)
: ((
I'm filthy in bed if that helps.
(, Fri 8 Jul 2011, 22:02, Reply)

(, Fri 8 Jul 2011, 22:04, Reply)
Well yes but you can wash that off.
