Fuck me, what an unholy time of the morning.
I'm already showered and in work. Usually I'm just starting to wake up at this time. Fucking hell, I can't even see straight.

Right... if you had to choose between giving up booze or cigs, what would it be?
(, Fri 22 Jul 2011, 7:08, 80 replies, latest was 15 years ago)
Well as I don't smoke it's a bit of an easy answer.

(, Fri 22 Jul 2011, 7:45, Reply)
Ditto
gave up the ciggies in 2008.
(, Fri 22 Jul 2011, 8:00, Reply)
It's gonna be tabs innit in this crazy mixed up hypothetical world of yours

(, Fri 22 Jul 2011, 7:49, Reply)
Yeah, need to give them up anyway.
I saw the bottom of the flower pot I use for tab ends in the garden last night.
(, Fri 22 Jul 2011, 8:17, Reply)
I've got a special bin for tab ends that some cunt empties his lungs up into most days, if anything it smells worse than shit.
He's currently got TB, has turned an interesting hue of yellow and still has twenty a day. Be warned kids.
(, Fri 22 Jul 2011, 8:23, Reply)
Coughing up lung batter is never pleasant.
That's what has prompted me into thinking about quitting, I guess.
(, Fri 22 Jul 2011, 8:26, Reply)
I do like the idea that hardened smokers only think that giving up might be an idea
once they have already entered the terminal phase and are coughing up lumps of flesh.
(, Fri 22 Jul 2011, 8:29, Reply)
My grandad smoked right through his lung cancer.
Never did him any harm.
(, Fri 22 Jul 2011, 8:39, Reply)
I'm not coughing up lumps of flesh... yet.
Oddly though, it tastes quite buttery.
(, Fri 22 Jul 2011, 8:43, Reply)
I can't believe its not phlem.

(, Fri 22 Jul 2011, 8:48, Reply)
I won't be putting it on toast, put it that way.

(, Fri 22 Jul 2011, 8:49, Reply)
I'm off the booze at the moment, and it was easy giving it up.
I'm glad that cider doesn't count as booze though, it's a life saver.
(, Fri 22 Jul 2011, 7:56, Reply)
Especially if you brew your own.
I did a couple of years ago. Damn near blew my head off, but tasted like apple juice.
(, Fri 22 Jul 2011, 8:15, Reply)
I don't have the facilities to do home brew.
But I think the rental for small units in Lincolnshire is quite cheap.
(, Fri 22 Jul 2011, 8:28, Reply)
My brother in law was tapping me up about the possibility of making a still
since he knew I understood how all that stuff works.

I think if he asks me again I will show him that as a case study.
(, Fri 22 Jul 2011, 8:30, Reply)
If I heared it right on the radio this morning they recovered 6 truck loads of booze from the unit which hadn't exploded.
And that at a similar establishment in North London the production was 20 bottles a minute.

That is way more than some distilleries in Scotland.
(, Fri 22 Jul 2011, 8:34, Reply)
Giving up is for quitters, etc.
Instead, check out this heartwarming tale (and the best headline I've seen in ages)

(, Fri 22 Jul 2011, 8:40, Reply)
Isn't that fucking lovely.

(, Fri 22 Jul 2011, 8:41, Reply)
Well that's... interesting.

(, Fri 22 Jul 2011, 8:42, Reply)
I know what you mean - sellout bitchez.

White supremacy causes cancer, Mont.
It's right there in black and white.
(, Fri 22 Jul 2011, 8:47, Reply)
Surely white and white?

(, Fri 22 Jul 2011, 8:48, Reply)
It's official then.
Nazism causes cancer, as does being tall according to a recent study.

You're fucked Monty.
(, Fri 22 Jul 2011, 8:47, Reply)
PISSSSSSS

(, Fri 22 Jul 2011, 8:48, Reply)
Yes, 'fucked Monty' is a fair description.

(, Fri 22 Jul 2011, 8:49, Reply)
I think I know what you mean, but only because of Harry Cross's dogs on Brookside.

(, Fri 22 Jul 2011, 8:53, Reply)
Is he dead yet?

(, Fri 22 Jul 2011, 8:57, Reply)
Fucking hell I hope so.
He'd be about 120 by now wouldn't he?
(, Fri 22 Jul 2011, 9:00, Reply)
He seemed to be operating on half a lung if memory serves me

You've no idea what shit I'm in.

(, Fri 22 Jul 2011, 8:57, Reply)
I've also had a massive falling-out with my father which has upset me a very great deal.

(, Fri 22 Jul 2011, 9:00, Reply)
This I can understand.
I'm sorry to hear that. Any chance of a reconcilliation?
(, Fri 22 Jul 2011, 9:03, Reply)
My sister has helped.
I basically went mental at him for being such a lazy cunt and a shit grandfather. I let him have it with both barrels and it all kicked off.
(, Fri 22 Jul 2011, 9:08, Reply)
We should have done this with my Grandmother years ago but we all tiptoed around her like idiots.
Still, she's all on her own now as non of us bother to contact her.
(, Fri 22 Jul 2011, 9:13, Reply)
So what you're saying is that if I get my bogus 'gas board' uniform on and get round there
I can really take my time, yeah?

Swweeeeet.
(, Fri 22 Jul 2011, 9:18, Reply)
Haha!
Help yourself?

Nasty old cow!
(, Fri 22 Jul 2011, 9:35, Reply)

They've missed a trick by not making it the centre of a Greater Germania theme park, cor I'd go there with the family as opposed to Eurodisney

(, Fri 22 Jul 2011, 9:04, Reply)
I gave up the ciggies on February 9th 2008
I still have the odd cigar but my drinking can reach epic proportions. I got told to keep a diary of my drinking and I've embarrassed myself in to cutting down a lot.
(, Fri 22 Jul 2011, 9:05, Reply)
That's not a bad idea
I might start doing that, I think the booze consumption is the only thing standing between me and shifting my gut.
(, Fri 22 Jul 2011, 9:31, Reply)
Has anyone seen my wallet?

(, Fri 22 Jul 2011, 9:14, Reply)
Yes, very impressive, Now put it away, please.

(, Fri 22 Jul 2011, 9:15, Reply)
It's so unimpressive and empty I refuse to believe someone's nicked it.
Still I have no idea where it is :(
(, Fri 22 Jul 2011, 9:17, Reply)
Asylum seekers have stolen it.

(, Fri 22 Jul 2011, 9:17, Reply)
At the risk of sounding like your mum,
when do you last remember using it?
(, Fri 22 Jul 2011, 9:18, Reply)
I have several very nice wallets.
Do I use them? Do I bollocks.
(, Fri 22 Jul 2011, 9:19, Reply)
I lost three £50 wallets in 2010. I am a cunt.

(, Fri 22 Jul 2011, 9:23, Reply)
I've given up on buying nice wallets because of that
£5 leather wallets from the markets look good for a few months. Then just get a new one.
(, Fri 22 Jul 2011, 9:24, Reply)
I got one of those duct tape wallets for my birthday a few years back
it's pretty fucked now and apparently you can mail it back to them and they'll send you a replacement (wallet for life I guess) but I've never got around to it.

EDIT: www.ducti.co.uk/tradein.asp - £7? Now I feel cheated.
(, Fri 22 Jul 2011, 9:33, Reply)
I don't get that myself
Spending money on a nice wallet is something of an extravagance as far as I'm concerned, having several when you can only use one at a time is daft.
(, Fri 22 Jul 2011, 9:31, Reply)
I would buy one, lose it, then replace it.
I didn't have three at once.
(, Fri 22 Jul 2011, 9:41, Reply)
Ouch
Sorry to hear that sir. This is exactly why I own almost nothing of value.
(, Fri 22 Jul 2011, 9:42, Reply)
Ages ago, but I thought I might have left it at work
but it's not on/in my desk. So could have been nicked...
(, Fri 22 Jul 2011, 9:21, Reply)
It's a horrible feeling. Unlucky.

(, Fri 22 Jul 2011, 9:28, Reply)
Ah, so it's the object rather than the contents you're missing
I suggest a succession of passive-aggressive queries around the office. Might make the day more fun.
(, Fri 22 Jul 2011, 9:30, Reply)
Tell them the Gestapo will be involved unless the culprit owns up IMMEDIATELY.

(, Fri 22 Jul 2011, 9:32, Reply)
Are they still operating?
Knowing you "The Gestapo" is some incredibly obscure drum'n'bass outfit
(, Fri 22 Jul 2011, 9:34, Reply)
They are...kind of.

(, Fri 22 Jul 2011, 9:46, Reply)
Well that's just freaky

(, Fri 22 Jul 2011, 9:50, Reply)
The chant 'ZULU - GESTAPO' can be heard in 'Flash to the Beat' by Grandmaster Flash,
and is sampled by Afrika Bambaataa's 1992 tune 'Zulu War Chant'. Both records are brilliant.
(, Fri 22 Jul 2011, 9:54, Reply)
Fascinating stuff.

(, Fri 22 Jul 2011, 9:56, Reply)
I honestly think you are more knowledgeable about music than anyone else I know

(, Fri 22 Jul 2011, 9:56, Reply)
Nah I don't know shit.

(, Fri 22 Jul 2011, 10:01, Reply)
he's also the biggest buttmunch

(, Fri 22 Jul 2011, 10:01, Reply)
Good point
and if it weren't him it might very well be you. Although I might have a distended perception of the scope of your knowledge from having talked to you about music more, as you and I actually like the same bands.
(, Fri 22 Jul 2011, 10:02, Reply)
You have a distended anus.

(, Fri 22 Jul 2011, 10:03, Reply)
naa, I don't know that much
I know a lot about a few bands, and I really know what I like, and other than that it's all generalities.
(, Fri 22 Jul 2011, 10:07, Reply)
Maybe it's just that you know a lot about bands I like so I take more interest
than in Monty's obscure nonsense
(, Fri 22 Jul 2011, 10:19, Reply)
Cigs because I already did it *smugs*
also alkymahol doesn't seem to be addictive for me, so I can enjoy it by choice and in moderation. And it's fun, which ciggies almost never were.

Will Cavy's nick be chagning accordingly?
