I got invited to lunch with a couple of girls on my course today.
That actually made me feel really good. I've felt really shy all year at uni and this is the second time I've been invited out somewhere by these girls.

Well I knew you didn't have a lot of friends but I assumed it was just because you're quite mature for your age and live in a small community.
I say go for it and mingle. You'll be surprised how quickly to get used to speaking to complete strangers.
