Which isn't all that cheap considering that's a good 20-25% of my monthly disposable income. I'm fortunate enough that my current boyfriend thinks it's wrong for girls to pay for dinner though (although I have snuck off, ostensibly to the toilets, and paid on the way back without him realising a couple of times)

Shouldn't have be sneeky about it, you're both earning and you're both equal. It's worst when you start counting "I paid for X, you paid for Y" or "I had A and you had B, so I should pay a bit less" though, I can't be having any of that, weather it's mates or partners.
