so...grown ups
I just looked at a house which is in a nice place and big for the money. Doesn't seem to have any problems, but would require some redecorating, including putting in a bath. How hard is that shit, how much will it cost me in money and in bits of my soul?

Putting in a bath is not that hard at all assuming the plumbing is sound
so I would guess it would cost twelvety groats

twelvty! my god!
currently there is a big shower. I don't like showers as much as baths, so I'd be swapping one for another

You can get these baths now
with a bulge up one end, so they're shaped like a 'P'. They don't take up much more space than an ordinary bath, but you get teh added option of the shower at one end too.

you can get a basic entry level Homebase bathroom suite
for about £200. Installing might be a bit trickier. You could find easy to follow tutorials on youtube, or you could have a nice word with the relevant lecturer at work, and offer to swap your talents for his/hers. Say installing a bathroom suite for 10 x 15 portraits of his/her kids?

Yeah right, cut to the chase, how many times will you gobble off the pub drunk who says he's a DIY 'expert' to fit a bathroom in a half arsed and dangereous way?

(, Thu 20 Oct 2011, 18:58, Reply)
i'm no good at blow jobs
so it'd have to be quite a few

My old next door neighbour did that when she bought the place and renovated it.
Different tradesman every week. Sometimes district nurses who moonlight as folk musicians really surprise you.
