I think when I was about 15-18 it was £20 a month. Didn't have to do anything for it. I suppose if I'd misbehaved I wouldn't have got it, but I never did

Peak reached was £5-£10 a week in sixth form. Fiver if I was a model child, did well at school and didn't come home pissed, £10 if I ironed my dad's Friday night clothes as well.
I was allowed to get a bit tipsy...

Whenever I come across a bundle at the boot sales, I buy them up, spend weeks reading them, then flog them on to other sad acts on eBay. There was one woman who used to buy from me, who had almost every single Bunty comic ever printed - from the mid 1950s! I want to be her friend...
