I'd probably vote for you, you know?
Sadly you use too much common sense to garner much support elsewhere.

The problem is not getting people to agree with you.
It's to stop people voting for the parties they've always voted for because that's what their parents voted for etc etc. Stupid fucking public.

(, Tue 24 Jan 2012, 14:33, Reply)
you'll have to pass a test on the parties manifestos before you are allowed to vote

(, Tue 24 Jan 2012, 14:34, Reply)
I think some of the candidates might fail that one.

I'll have a small but dedicated team going through all news reports
and they'll check the facts, then once a month I'll expect each editors to come to downing street and explain their failure to inform the public accuratly.

Hmm an interesting twist on how things actually are
I'm sure Gordon Brown spent most of his premiership fielding stupid questions about stupid things instead of being allowed to do his job. Probably because his predecessor helped turn it all into a big media game.

Well, no
a very, very large part of it is that the public are extremely unlikely to vote for "some bloke" even if he has the best ideas in the country. Because he's just some bloke. People don't just always vote for the party their parents have, but they will always vote for a major party in the most instances, because a major party is the only thing that will have a say in the country being run.
