I managed 5k in 29 mins last night. Quite pleased with that as a first attempt.
Alt:
Today was peri-peri and red pepper hummous with wholemeal pitta. I try and have something completely different each day. The thought of eating a ham and cheese sandwich with plain crisps 5 days a week fills me with TEH FEAR

I'd heard about it before and decided I was glad I didn't know what people were talking about.
I already yearn for those innocent days.

I added a sprinkling of word-parsley for garnish like any writer recounting a personal tale, but I assure you the vast bulk of that story is --to my unending regret-- quite true. All the stories I post are genuine; I find it much easier writing about stuff that actually happened.

That's the best way to train and build up, don't try and run one 3 or 4 mile run having not done anything, just try and run 1 or 2 miles 4 times a week until you don't feel any ill effects the next day.
Then you can add a slightly longer run at weekends instead of one fo the short runs.

This is most pleasing. I'll go for another run tomorrow night as I have the joy of finishing painting the bathroom tonight (and some overtime)

I didn't realise how cold it was until I took a swig of my drink and got a brain freeze. I think this is what was starting to cause me stomach cramps.
