Weekend was pretty fucking good, thank you for asking.
Smashed it with Stunzo on Friday, Black Keys on Saturday night (fabulous venue, pretty decent set with moments of excellence but nowhere near loud enough) and on Sunday had a splendid family outing: took my daughter with Lusty over to Lancaster Gate to have fun mith my mum(s), it was fucking superb.

The highlight of this week (apart from a low-key Val's Day dinner at home tomorrow OF COURSE) is (ALSO OF COURSE) to be found in the calendar under this Saturday's listings.

Alt: If you've seen the uniforms of their national guard, the bentness of the Greeks' rioting all starts to make sense. White tennis skirt and tights? Fearsome warriors, eh? No: epic chutneys.

One should not be able to stand in the front third of a venue
and have a conversation at normal level with one's missus about how it's not loud enough. Alexandra Palace is so long that when they held the 24hr Technicolor Dream there in 1967 they had a stage at each end with different bands on. These jokers had about half the rig needed for the size of the place.

My friend saw Mastodon last week
He got right to the front, and had ringing in his ears for 2 days after 'Blood and Thunder'.

Whilst I'm jealous of his seeing them, I can't help but laugh at the fact he's clearly a massive girl.
