Names, for example, should only be released if it's genuinely in the public interest. Some 16 year old girl dressing up in jeans and a hoody to finger her mates isn't in the public interest. The only reason it's being reported is salaciousness sells papers. The law ought to to be protecting Gemma as much as her "victims" in this case. As it is, the poor fucking bitch is going to have to live with the social consequences of this for the rest of her life.
She's a sexually confused teenager that made a string of stupid mistakes because she got away with it the first time. That doesn't make somebody a rapist and it doesn't deserve vilification in the national press.
The coverage of this case has made me feel more sorry for the crim than the victims.

ANd I do doubt it, I think is this was a 16 year old boy dressing up as a girl to get of with his mates, he should get just as much sympathy, but I doubt he would.
