I watched some of 'Attack the Block' last night.
It was mildly engaging but the acting was 'bare shit blud innit doe'.

i saw it too, it was eastenders level acting
i don't like seeing stage school kids doing london accents, it's shit

also, aliens with luminous teeth, no eyes
who hunt by smell and sound, but can't hear or smell a woman leaving a room because she doesn't have female alien pheremones on her?

fuck off
(, Mon 25 Jun 2012, 11:33, Reply)
and also why were they attacking the things that smelled of the female?
surely they should have been trying to fuck them instead?
(, Mon 25 Jun 2012, 11:35, Reply)
Aliens, innit.

and where the hell did those little boys get the petrol to put in their water pistols?

(, Mon 25 Jun 2012, 11:37, Reply)
and when they were hiding in the bin, why the hell didn't the lighter blow their water pistols up?

(, Mon 25 Jun 2012, 11:37, Reply)
They're inner city London kids
they probably had some left over from the riots last year.
(, Mon 25 Jun 2012, 11:37, Reply)
the film was shot before the riots
UYOU IDIOT
(, Mon 25 Jun 2012, 11:39, Reply)

Superman could NEVER fly, I mean it's SO UNREALISTIC , I hate it!

(, Mon 25 Jun 2012, 11:38, Reply)

man +gran
(, Mon 25 Jun 2012, 11:39, Reply)
course he could, he was an alien who abided by the rules applied to him within his own fixional universe
its not like he could make picnic baskets with his mind or anything
(, Mon 25 Jun 2012, 11:39, Reply)
That would be patently ridiculous.

(, Mon 25 Jun 2012, 11:43, Reply)
and when he wasn't make-gingham, he'd be off saving the world

(, Mon 25 Jun 2012, 11:45, Reply)
What rule made him the only person to which the gravitational pull
of a solar body (to whit; the Earth) would be ineffective?
(, Mon 25 Jun 2012, 11:49, Reply)
his extremely dense molecular structure, apparently

(, Mon 25 Jun 2012, 11:52, Reply)
Density would make him more susceptible to gravity
not less. I think.
(, Mon 25 Jun 2012, 11:55, Reply)
you're thinking too literally
in superman's universe there are rules that allow his kind to fly, in attack the block a completely shit and easily defeatable and stupid alien seems to have evolved purely to be killed by children
(, Mon 25 Jun 2012, 11:57, Reply)
Yet they still have the capability of interstellar flight.
Which no kids from Lewisham have, as far as I know.
(, Mon 25 Jun 2012, 12:00, Reply)
they were fuckwits
there were a few moments in the film where i thought to myself, why doesn't the alien jsut attack now, or do this now, they'd leap about like gorillas and then suddenly struggle down some stairs

and why didn't that bin one just open the lid?
(, Mon 25 Jun 2012, 12:09, Reply)
And the BFG was a lying cunt and all

I watched BBC4's Julius Caesar last night, it was bloody brilliant.
Caesar was losing by about 8-0 at half time, but when Antony came on as a sub, the match went to penalties, etc.
(, Mon 25 Jun 2012, 11:38, Reply)
BBC4 is superb.

(, Mon 25 Jun 2012, 11:38, Reply)
I hope you watched the prog about saxon art before the above.

(, Mon 25 Jun 2012, 11:39, Reply)
Tonight is iplayer night by the sounds of it.
I was trying to play pissed-up Scrabble before trying that film.
(, Mon 25 Jun 2012, 11:44, Reply)
I quite liked it.

(, Mon 25 Jun 2012, 11:38, Reply)
i found it engaging but the plot was pretty thin

(, Mon 25 Jun 2012, 11:40, Reply)
I enjoyed the film, but their faux Jamaican patois annoyed me.

(, Mon 25 Jun 2012, 11:46, Reply)
AND ALSO RIGHT, THE MOST IMPORTANT THING
all the white people survive, and the only surviving black guy gets arrested at the end

?
