People like watching violence
I'm sure if you put "Running Man" on TV for real, it'd get huge audience figures.

Give it a few years, I'm sure something like that'll turn up.

Yup - I was saying this last night.
If there was an "Executions" channel on TV it would be the most popular. As a race we love to watch death and violence.

An undercover Mark Thomas suggested, at a fringe Tory Party Conference meeting,
live televised crucifixion for convicted criminals, during the Saturday night Lottery results. It was met with approval. Harsh, but fair?

Wait, what? Ermm... There are plenty of sites out there where you can watch beheadings and all that kind of shit, and I have no interest in seeing any of them.
Three guys an a hammer or whatever, I couldn't even read the wikipedia page, let alone want to look any further into it.

Yes it would need jazzing up a bit, admittedly.
What you could do is have convicted criminals in a game show, and give them a head start to escape, and then set trained mercenaries to chase and kill them.

If the murders need to be jazzed up, it would imply that the murder isn't what people are interested in.

Naturally we're not mixing up fiction with real thing here
