Evening thread
because we're worth it...

Good evening.

(, Mon 22 Oct 2012, 19:34, Reply)
evening
what's happenin
(, Mon 22 Oct 2012, 19:40, Reply)
How could I possibly know the answer to that?

(, Mon 22 Oct 2012, 19:45, Reply)
look around you
and tell me tales of your adventures of something (50 words or fewer)

I'm looking at a Yellow T-shirt with a screen print of Charles Kennedy on it grimacing.
It reminds me of an abortive plan to sell party political T-shirts during a General Election whilst I was at University.

The T-shirts looked great, however, I couldn't be bothered to buy lots of blank Tshirts and ink, or be bothered to sell them.

I kept that one as a memento. I might frame it one day rather than have it hanging off the back of the printing screen where it lives at the moment.
(, Mon 22 Oct 2012, 19:52, Reply)
well it's only a couple of years to the next election

(, Mon 22 Oct 2012, 20:02, Reply)
Alright?
I ended up getting lamb chops and rice from the little turkish cafe and some mint jelly (JELLY NOT SAUCE) from Waitrose. I spent an hour and a half on the pizza websites, and my final conclusion was that I couldn't get much change out of £15 for a sodding pizza.
(, Mon 22 Oct 2012, 19:43, Reply)
I wish I could eat food like you
I reckon if I ate what you ate I'd die, or at the very least spend the majority of my time on the loo.
(, Mon 22 Oct 2012, 19:47, Reply)
What's wrong, health wise, with some salad, rice and lamb chops and a bit of mint jelly?

(, Mon 22 Oct 2012, 19:51, Reply)
Nothing at all.
Every time I read your messages you're tucking into some rich tasty takeaway though. My comment wasn't specific to that post.

Sounds good. Bon Apetit.
(, Mon 22 Oct 2012, 19:53, Reply)
I think it looks like that because I wouldn't 'show off', for lack of a better word, something like a ham sandwich.
I'm not comparing myself to any kind of well-known chef, but the same misconception could be said about Heston/Jamie/Whoever.... that all you see them cook is bountiful meals, but I bet they don't eat like that for every meal.

Also, there is a big difference between what I get and what I eat; you can ask anyone I've eaten out with from here if I've ever finished my meal in one sitting / not bought home a doggy-bag.
(, Mon 22 Oct 2012, 20:00, Reply)
I guess I'm defensive by the accusation that I only eat crap because it implies my problems would be gone if I didn't; that it's self inflicted.

(, Mon 22 Oct 2012, 20:01, Reply)
I think you just talk about food a lot
even more so than other internet people.
(, Mon 22 Oct 2012, 20:29, Reply)
Because its an interest in mine that is common to everyone.

(, Mon 22 Oct 2012, 20:56, Reply)

I don't have any cooking facilities, I bought a little fridge today and it boilied my meds, true story.

(, Mon 22 Oct 2012, 19:53, Reply)
Speak for yourself.
I'm barely worth a bag of chips and a fingerbang behind the bins.
(, Mon 22 Oct 2012, 19:54, Reply)
I'm not sure you're entirely right there
you could probably get ketchup on those chips at least
(, Mon 22 Oct 2012, 20:01, Reply)
Woah woah woah!
Hold on a minute. i don't want to price myself out of the market...
(, Mon 22 Oct 2012, 20:03, Reply)

Also - ketchup, finger banging and bike sheds gives me long time ago shudders. Wasn't ketchup.
(, Mon 22 Oct 2012, 21:13, Reply)
Does it have anything to do with your username?

(, Mon 22 Oct 2012, 21:14, Reply)

No - that was the Indonesian girl - more nam pla than ketchup.

I've got a cold and feel like shit.
So I'm looking at cars to take my mind off it. Also, my phone seems to have got my cold as well and has frozen.
(, Mon 22 Oct 2012, 22:04, Reply)
that sucks
i'm finally recovering from a month-long cold. what kinda cars?
(, Mon 22 Oct 2012, 22:04, Reply)
Motor cars.
Still undecided about what to buy, but I keep looking at cars that are nice - if somewhat unsuitable.
(, Mon 22 Oct 2012, 22:06, Reply)
well, yes I figured
I was more inquiring as to what cars you might be thinking were nice. I gather this is a good manly conversation starter and as I can't be moved to give a shit about football but do watch topgear, i'd give it a go.
(, Mon 22 Oct 2012, 22:08, Reply)

(, Mon 22 Oct 2012, 22:10, Reply)
that's actually quite pretty
for an alpha. not sure about the back-end though, looks a bit Porsche to me.
(, Mon 22 Oct 2012, 22:13, Reply)
It's a lot of money to spend on a car that'll spend more time being repaired than driven.
So I won't be getting one.
(, Mon 22 Oct 2012, 22:13, Reply)
yeah, they do have that rep
but many love them despite their faults. what dom you think you'll actually go for?
(, Mon 22 Oct 2012, 22:16, Reply)
Either a Jag or a Saab.
I've ruled out the RX8.
(, Mon 22 Oct 2012, 22:17, Reply)
Saab is probably the sensible choice
but I'm surprised you dismissed the mazda.
(, Mon 22 Oct 2012, 22:18, Reply)
Everything I've read about the RX8 seems to suggest it isn't as sensible as it could be.

(, Mon 22 Oct 2012, 22:20, Reply)
ahh, well you know more than me then
not that that's all that hard.
(, Mon 22 Oct 2012, 22:20, Reply)
Bent ones, probably.
Evening.
