Today.
I tripped in the lab and knocked the door of the freezer, and my supervisor's cDNA samples fell out of their tray all over the floor. they weren't contaminated or anything, but they went everywhere, were really valuable, and he had to put them back into order. He got really angry and just said "Maybe you should just come back tomorrow." So I pretty much got kicked out of the lab today.
It was completely my fault, and I was mortified and trying not to cry while apologising and trying to fix it by collecting them all off the floor and putting them back in their tray.

I didn't have a good day today.

No, I think he was stressed about something else.
It was just a bad day in the lab for me as well unfortunately. My own cDNA samples failed again, so I have to redo them as well. I was already upset about that so I took a break to calm down before starting over, and that's when I tripped.

If it's any consolation, my sister was alone in her office once when everyone had gone for lunch
walking along she caught sight of her reflection in a window, this startled her and she tripped, knocked over a coat rack which fell and smashed a plate glass door worth many pounds.

when everyone came back she said the coat rack had been overloaded and fell by itself. She got away with it.
