I'm going away this weekend, so I've been looking for a nice pub and a record shop to visit while I'm there.
As my parents did with me, I shall drag my kids round something historic as well.
What do you look for when you visit a new place?
Alt: Anyone fancy a pint? Only I'm gasping...

tbh though you can get decent fish and chips anywhere, you don't have to travel to the North

Maybe an interesting shop or cafe, or just to look and for little nooks and crannies and that. I don't mean hookers. I mean interesting little bits. Not hookers. You filthy children.

Everywhere is all identikit high streets these days, so it's nice to find somewhere with a bit of character.
Kids generally like interactive things, don't they? Surely most museums and places have areas tailored to little people these days.
Alt: oh god, no. FAR too early.
