I'm only interested if the music is as good as the original series.

Of course it will be, everything will be as good or BETTER!

(, Tue 28 May 2013, 14:51, Reply)
No, I bought coffee, long screws, wardrobe fixings, a dog grooming glove, ivory sealant and a tennis ball thrower for the dog

(, Tue 28 May 2013, 14:53, Reply)
Why do you want to throw the dog?

(, Tue 28 May 2013, 14:54, Reply)
So he can fetch himself

(, Tue 28 May 2013, 14:55, Reply)
pfft, like your dog chases balls
i bet it sits around like queen of the fucking house all day, with it's squashed face and boggle eyes all over the place

I heard that PhillieJoe chap has bought a new bike frame for his next build
Great news for the top b3tan and all round good egg.
(, Tue 28 May 2013, 14:52, Reply)
I've heard this too
Well done that man!

10 internet points
(, Tue 28 May 2013, 14:53, Reply)
why not just buy a bike?

(, Tue 28 May 2013, 14:53, Reply)
I have several bikes that I have just bought.
I enjoy building up old frames in to custom bikes with modern hardware. An old steel tubed frame is surprisingly light and fun to ride. THey don't make 'em like they used to etc.
(, Tue 28 May 2013, 14:55, Reply)
"fun to ride"? surely a bike is very much like another bike
and by very much i mean exactly
(, Tue 28 May 2013, 14:56, Reply)
You couldn't be more wrong.

(, Tue 28 May 2013, 14:57, Reply)
two wheels, metal frame, seat...not that much difference really is there?

(, Tue 28 May 2013, 14:59, Reply)
4 wheels, engine, seats.
All cars are the same to drive then?
(, Tue 28 May 2013, 15:00, Reply)
yeah but there are loads of bits that make up a car, bikes are simple

(, Tue 28 May 2013, 15:01, Reply)
Theres lots of bits that make up a bike too and they can all make a difference
Of the top of my head, frame, Bottom Bracket, Cranks, Gearing, Brakes, Pedal type, Crank Length, Wheel size, tyre size, tyre treads and many more

I've ridden a lot of bikes and each part makes a difference to the overall ride.
(, Tue 28 May 2013, 15:07, Reply)
Look obvious example
My commuting bike has 2 wheels a metal frame and a seat. So does Sportos bike. Ask him if you think they ride the same.
(, Tue 28 May 2013, 15:09, Reply)
Yeah
Yours doesn't even have stabilisers!
(, Tue 28 May 2013, 15:13, Reply)
yeah but it's not like a 4 pot super mini compared to a V8 pickup truck is it?

(, Tue 28 May 2013, 15:15, Reply)
Sort of
If sporto rode my bike the way he rides his it would break in seconds, but if I rode his the way I ride mine I would have a heart attack and die trying to get it up to 40mph.
(, Tue 28 May 2013, 15:20, Reply)
And this isn't your preferred suicide method?

(, Tue 28 May 2013, 15:21, Reply)
No.
I'm going with the Bungee rope, superglue, cheese wire, building method.
(, Tue 28 May 2013, 15:22, Reply)
are you saying sporto is some sort of fat bike retard?

(, Tue 28 May 2013, 15:23, Reply)

bike
(, Tue 28 May 2013, 15:24, Reply)
No
I am saying that despite having two wheels, a metal frame and wheels our bikes are very different. And that your assumption that all bikes are the same is rubbish and you are not only bent but a spastic.
(, Tue 28 May 2013, 15:25, Reply)
yeah wel, I get on a bike and peddle and it goes forward, end of

(, Tue 28 May 2013, 15:27, Reply)
I expect it more like
You get on a bike, pedal, wobble about a bit, fall off, repeat
(, Tue 28 May 2013, 15:34, Reply)
nah, your mama's way to fat to fall off

(, Tue 28 May 2013, 15:35, Reply)
Well, apart from a frame, PJ's new bike doesn't have any of those things.

(, Tue 28 May 2013, 15:00, Reply)
now I understand

(, Tue 28 May 2013, 15:02, Reply)
He is
It's just off the front of one of those magazines. Next week he gets one pedal for ONLY £6.99

TOP TIPS: don't cycle on the inside lorries and buses on corners because you'll get squashed to death and no one will care because you were cycling like a prick!

(, Tue 28 May 2013, 15:05, Reply)
There's not much of a problem with that round here

(, Tue 28 May 2013, 15:12, Reply)
does it have an authentic vintage handlebar mirror?

(, Tue 28 May 2013, 14:58, Reply)
It doesn't have handlebars yet
but when it does the answer will be no.
(, Tue 28 May 2013, 15:00, Reply)
Its no Wilf

(, Tue 28 May 2013, 15:02, Reply)
tru dat

(, Tue 28 May 2013, 15:08, Reply)
I hop he gets to cycle around an independent Cornwall sometime soon.

(, Tue 28 May 2013, 15:05, Reply)
Why?
Do you only have one leg?

Also, why are you so obsessed with an Independent Cornwall? Are you secretly a Breton?
(, Tue 28 May 2013, 15:08, Reply)
There's been a study saying that Devon have got it right about the Jam/Cream/Scone issue.

(, Tue 28 May 2013, 15:09, Reply)
There hasn't been a study about how much I care
But its very little.

I'll fight to the death on the Pasty issue though.
(, Tue 28 May 2013, 15:11, Reply)
Summarise the points of "pastygate" please

(, Tue 28 May 2013, 15:12, Reply)
Carrots are an abomination or something.

(, Tue 28 May 2013, 15:12, Reply)
Swede or turnip?

(, Tue 28 May 2013, 15:13, Reply)
Most countries call the swede a Yellow Turnip
so both are right I guess. Cornish elders generally call a swede a turnip and vice versa. Something to do with the Radon I think
(, Tue 28 May 2013, 15:15, Reply)
Swede is an abbreviation of Swedish Turnip (I think)
Edit: It is en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rutabaga
(, Tue 28 May 2013, 15:16, Reply)
So if I read this correctly
For a relaxing bath I need turnips and not swede
(, Tue 28 May 2013, 15:16, Reply)
Do Devon put carrot in a pasty?
Fuck me, I knew they were retarded but fucking hell.
(, Tue 28 May 2013, 15:14, Reply)
Devon not only claimed for a while that they invented it.
But they crimp along the top, which is really fucking wrong. I'd rather watch the Ken Bigley video on repeat than see a top crimped pasty.
(, Tue 28 May 2013, 15:13, Reply)
Side or GTF?

(, Tue 28 May 2013, 15:13, Reply)
Damn right
Its crimped on the side for a damn good reason.
(, Tue 28 May 2013, 15:14, Reply)
and this is?

(, Tue 28 May 2013, 15:14, Reply)
Miners could eat them underground with dirty hands.
The crust was to hold, not to eat. They would chuck the crusts down the mine to feed "the knockers" for good luck.
(, Tue 28 May 2013, 15:16, Reply)
So what difference would it being on top make?

(, Tue 28 May 2013, 15:17, Reply)
when they are crimped on top it doesn't make a handle
just a sort of line.
(, Tue 28 May 2013, 15:18, Reply)
I like the crusty bit though
*is confused*
(, Tue 28 May 2013, 15:18, Reply)
Just agree that it should be on the side
And we can stop this ridiculous conversation
(, Tue 28 May 2013, 15:21, Reply)
*calls the whole thing off*

(, Tue 28 May 2013, 15:22, Reply)
Didn't bring them a lot of luck.

(, Tue 28 May 2013, 15:17, Reply)
Did back then
Cornwall was one of the richest areas in Europe. When they stopped eating pasties down there things went to shit.
(, Tue 28 May 2013, 15:18, Reply)
So what you're saying is
"There's no earthly reason to care where the damned thing's crimped except if you're a hide-bound traditionalist spastic that still believes in fairies".

Gotcha. Go Devon!
(, Tue 28 May 2013, 15:28, Reply)
They also taste different
but don't let that bother you
(, Tue 28 May 2013, 15:34, Reply)
I shan't, no bother there.
A pastie's a pastie. I couldn't care less if it has carrots in it, or not.
(, Tue 28 May 2013, 15:37, Reply)
Not like a french person to be so blasé about food

(, Tue 28 May 2013, 15:39, Reply)
The word pasty is derived from a French word.

(, Tue 28 May 2013, 15:52, Reply)
no one gives a fuck

(, Tue 28 May 2013, 15:16, Reply)
Well Sporto does because he asked so once again you are wrong on the internet.
and MK is the only place shitter than Devon
(, Tue 28 May 2013, 15:17, Reply)
Gregg's pasties are crimped along the top.
Gregg's are the premier baker in Britain, so it looks like you're wrong. Soz.
(, Tue 28 May 2013, 15:17, Reply)
bebbeh

(, Tue 28 May 2013, 15:18, Reply)
And they have carrots in them.

(, Tue 28 May 2013, 15:18, Reply)
I've been racking my brains for 4 minutes trying to come up with a come back
And I've cracked it....

Fuck off Frenchy!
(, Tue 28 May 2013, 15:21, Reply)
is that the one where someone pisses themselves?

(, Tue 28 May 2013, 14:59, Reply)
As long as we get to smell it

(, Tue 28 May 2013, 15:02, Reply)
Seems like people care about The Tomorrow People so little
that I have once again managed to turn a thread into pasty/bike chat
(, Tue 28 May 2013, 15:41, Reply)
I lost interest when he suggested it would have better music.

(, Tue 28 May 2013, 15:43, Reply)
I dunno what Tomorrow People is

(, Tue 28 May 2013, 15:47, Reply)
I think poor Monty is too afraid to post on the internet again, following the vicious ZINGING he has been dealt over on qotw:
