if you go for an automatic the gears changes are terrible.
the handling is very bad for a sporty car.
If you want a hairdresser car like that the SLK is a better car with a stronger engine, or you can get a boxer for a similar outlay

only a cunt or a beginner goes for an auto, handling is something that every professional reviewer disagrees with you on but I am reserving judgement until I test drive one.
SLKs and Boxsters are both very nice cars, but the Boxsters are more expensive to buy, if you look

Why would any one want to fuck about with changing gears when you can get the car to do it all...
On long distances an auto box is the way to go trust me on this

I want to drive my car, not point and squirt. I don't like most driver aids for this reason and turn them off if I can.

needs a 2.8 (later ones 3.0). The Z M Coupe is a beast, though.

Needs to be quick, comfortable to drive for long distances and capable of holding a couple of decent-sized suitcases.

I'm also looking at an original TT. The V6, to be precise. Guaranteed future classic.

That generation of VWs is really underrated at the moment.

the screw-supercharged one is deffo a future classic.
Fiat Coupe, too, when in Rome and all that. Or for real classic, Lancia Delta Integrale, but LHD and probably not a relaxing one for a long journey...

You can pick one up very cheaply but they do drink petrol

Sorry if this means you have to put your hands above your head before the central locking will work for you, but...
Something like a 5-series BMW diesel, with M-sport pack preferably. 8k gets a 55 plate, 10k a 58 maybe.
