Lack of money forcing wage freezes which, via inflation, translate to pay cuts. Cost of living rising without increased wages leads to less money, leading to less spending, leading to economic stifling, leading to companies forced to let people go or lower wages.
It makes perfect sense at a superficial level, though I'm no economist.

This pisses me off. If you're in charge of the country's money, you ought to either be qualified for it or follow the advice of those who are.

Pricks like Osborne have plenty of advisors letting them know what pricks they're being.

If you think about supermarkets (step in with the details nakkers) which is important because combined they're massive employers.
Tesco wants to increase profit margins to make it more competitive, so it limits wages, adds flexible working zero hour contracts etc thus decreasing it's wage costs and increasing it's profitability. Shares rise. Asda, Lidle, sainsburys morrisons etc follow suit. Now over the course of months/years tens of thousands of people have that little bit less to spend on Wine, luxury food than they did before. So sales go down.
Efficiency in that way spread out over a sector damages everyone in the long term.

Mine's been frozen for four years, though I think that's more to do with the opportunism of my company and the main factor for me looking to leave.

Specifically technology implementation. Putting in digital signage systems etc. Some of the tech they're using is really fucking cool. Like face recognition in billboards so they can tell how many people walking past are looking at the advert and what demographic they belong to.
The whole Big Brother aspect of it gives me a fucking great bone-on.
