IMPORTANT SHAVING ANNOUNCEMENT
So, I purchased a packet of Feather blades. These are japanese and a reputed to be amongst the sharpest blades available on the market.

I was a little cynical that they would feel any different to the other blades I tried, and given that they cost about three times as much I wasn't sure they would even be good value for money.

However, I was wrong, they are noticeably sharper and appear to be long lasting too so they will be my blade of choice from now on.

As you were.

This seems unlikely considering all the bitching and moaning he's been doing

I'm gonna be honest al, I might be interested in moving into the world of semi diposable shaving
what were your capital costs to set up? and how do the running costs compare to disposables and shaving gel?
(, Fri 14 Jun 2013, 9:27, Reply)
Capital Input come to £20 for the razor, about £10-£15 for a brush, shaving cream is about a tenner for a big old pot that'll last you months
and the blades I like are £30 for 100, and each blade should last you about 4-5 shaves (more if you have soft girly fuzz).

It can be done a lot cheaper if you don't require special stuff.
of course this means not bragging on the internet....

You could lose the brush and cream, but it would be a false economy as the brush helps lift your hairs and allows a closer shave
You couldn't get a razor cheaper than £20, but you could buy blades that are only £10 for 100. But as I said in the OP, I think the extra money gives better value since the blades are sharper and last longer.

Al I am going to assume
that this new found wonder in shaving is due to the novelty of the act, and that you have a beginners "Barry Mcguigain" top lip tache.
Once puberty fully kicks in you will be able to grow hair all over you body and then you will feel like a real boy.

I don't think I've wet-shaved in around a decade.
Electric beard trimmer once a week when I'm 'ere.
