A lot of it is brilliant, but there's a lot of duff material as wellbits of The Meaning of Life aren't very good, and the ending of Holy Grail is a cop out.
The TV series has a lot more "misses", but I guess you get that if you're experimenting.
Life of Brian is just very, very funny.
