primary goal: lose the last bit of weight that i want to lose, be fit enough to run about 10 miles, get better at using things like kettle bells without supervision. i think there are pretty achievable.

Then don't bother with protein stuff unless the trainer says so.
It's good for muscle recovery and stuff, but sometimes muscle fatigue is what you want.
