It appears that I will be getting paid JSA after all.

It would also seem that the pisshead woman across the street has been given a mobility scooter so I can't see that one ending at all well. Although it could be amusing to watch.

Fortunately I don't have a mortgage. But I do have a loan on the place, which fortunately is unsecured.

Mortgage is paid by housing benefit, you don't have to pay council tax either.
JSA is for bills and spending money. After gas/electric/water/phone/internet you've probably got £20ish a week for luxuries like food.

Also, nope flat rate across the country.
