A View to a Kill is one of the shittest Bond films ever. But, on the plus side, it's a Bond film.

That's the one that turns in to a commercial
For Citroën half way through isn't it?
(, Sun 1 Sep 2013, 17:08, Reply)
It's been a while since I saw it so can't remember.
There was a Citroen 2CV in For Your Eyes Only.

When Grace Jones turns in to a garage for a French car.

I find Grace Jones fascinating. She is a one off eh

(, Sun 1 Sep 2013, 17:26, Reply)
I don't like her very much.
She's weird.
(, Sun 1 Sep 2013, 17:26, Reply)
I heard a hilarious anecdote involving her
the end quote of which was 'get on ze cocaine autobahn'
(, Sun 1 Sep 2013, 17:30, Reply)
"She" certainly is.

(, Sun 1 Sep 2013, 17:27, Reply)
I still wonder if the rumours about her knocking out Dolph Lundgren were true
personally I found her music shit
(, Sun 1 Sep 2013, 17:33, Reply)

Ha you fool everyone knows that George Lazenby was the best Bond EVAH.

I'm currently drinking beer and working through all the films that I have borrowedTM from the internet, some are going onto my external hardrive some are being deleted, however soon......very soon I will embark on epic ironing*

*for some reason women can't seem to iron shirts properly
(, Sun 1 Sep 2013, 17:17, Reply)
He acquitted himself magnificently
His missus is delightful too.
(, Sun 1 Sep 2013, 17:24, Reply)
Did he nick anything?

(, Sun 1 Sep 2013, 17:26, Reply)
I have yet to uncover any....irregularities

(, Sun 1 Sep 2013, 17:28, Reply)

How did Windy Pig get on?
(, Sun 1 Sep 2013, 17:26, Reply)
Maybe you could use the attention you've been getting from this other woman
To motivate your wife in to taking more care.
(, Sun 1 Sep 2013, 17:25, Reply)
I'm sure that if I mention that to my wife,
she would be so much more diligent when maintaining a correct crease on my shirt sleeve's.............oh wait, I think I'll just iron my own
(, Sun 1 Sep 2013, 17:29, Reply)
Why iron a shirt, when you can just wear it creased?

(, Sun 1 Sep 2013, 17:41, Reply)
Well then whose Mum is this?

(, Sun 1 Sep 2013, 17:36, Reply)
That Casilerro del diabolo?
I've never tried that one, but their merlot and Cab sav are tip top for the price, so I'm glad that one stands up.
I've got a bottle of Chang beer from the Thai festival across the road, it's rather good.
(, Sun 1 Sep 2013, 17:39, Reply)
Thai festival eh?
I hope you didn't pull any 'chicks'
(, Sun 1 Sep 2013, 17:41, Reply)
I didn't see a single lady boy or boxing midget.
It was a very poor representation of Thai culture I feel.
(, Sun 1 Sep 2013, 17:43, Reply)
doesn't sound very authentic

(, Sun 1 Sep 2013, 17:45, Reply)
It was a poor show monto, a poor show.

(, Sun 1 Sep 2013, 17:47, Reply)
It's never a proper Thai festival unless Tony Jaa comes along and beats the fuck out of you for knicking his elephant

(, Sun 1 Sep 2013, 17:48, Reply)
I like that one.
Soz to butt in etc etc. I've been recommended the 2008 Dead Arm. Still need to get a bottle in and try it out.
(, Sun 1 Sep 2013, 17:43, Reply)
I don't really drink much wine anymore.

(, Sun 1 Sep 2013, 17:44, Reply)
I think you'll find that "Whom's Mum", thank you.

(, Sun 1 Sep 2013, 17:36, Reply)
Random Bond fact:
Roger Moore was keen to differentiate himself from what had gone before, so in Live and Let Die he insisted on smoking cigars rather than fags and drank bourbon instead of vodka martinis.
(, Sun 1 Sep 2013, 17:28, Reply)
Live and Let Die is the best one by far.

(, Sun 1 Sep 2013, 17:33, Reply)
First one I ever saw, and as such remains a firm favourite.

(, Sun 1 Sep 2013, 17:34, Reply)
Bonds actual choice of drink is whiskey/bourbon

(, Sun 1 Sep 2013, 17:34, Reply)
Yeah I know.
The Bond films are so far removed from the books in so many ways they may as well be a different series.
(, Sun 1 Sep 2013, 17:36, Reply)
I've never read the books, but I do love the films.

(, Sun 1 Sep 2013, 17:42, Reply)
the books are great in an old skool way

(, Sun 1 Sep 2013, 17:43, Reply)
he gets high on benzedrine in one of them

(, Sun 1 Sep 2013, 17:44, Reply)
Well, that's me sold.

(, Sun 1 Sep 2013, 17:45, Reply)
I rather like them.
The missus bought me a full set in retro covers from the Book people, I think it was about six quid for the lot.

I already had most of them but they were all different editions and cover styles.
(, Sun 1 Sep 2013, 17:45, Reply)
The literary Bond is fucking ridiculous.

(, Sun 1 Sep 2013, 17:46, Reply)
the luxury brand name dropping is hilarious

I'm waiting on a twenty bag, donno if it's hash or weed, the person getting it for me isn't a druggy, it's their brothers mates cousins aunt.
I think I want hash, what's the diff?
(, Sun 1 Sep 2013, 17:45, Reply)

I'm betting you get oregano or compressed cumin/oxo cube.
(, Sun 1 Sep 2013, 17:47, Reply)
Hash is resin, weed is herbal.
Different effects; resin gets you more drowsy stoned, weed gets you more 'high' stoned. You know, like how the drunkenness from wine is different to the drunkenness from beer.
(, Sun 1 Sep 2013, 17:47, Reply)
Cool, thought that was the case.... Hash is what I want.

(, Sun 1 Sep 2013, 17:49, Reply)
yeah you do. Much more your thing

(, Sun 1 Sep 2013, 17:54, Reply)
it's almost certainly going to be weed
Hash is rare these days and it's a damn shame
(, Sun 1 Sep 2013, 17:51, Reply)
meh
Back in my day it was the other way round. Used to be really quite something to get weed in. The quality of hash tended to be quite poor- you know, bits of plastic in it etc etc.

When pollen was doing the rounds that was lovely stuff.
(, Sun 1 Sep 2013, 17:53, Reply)
same here
The only hash I've seen recently has been speciality stuff and priced accordingly. Nom
(, Sun 1 Sep 2013, 17:56, Reply)
That half a nine bar my mate scored was very high end stuff

(, Sun 1 Sep 2013, 17:59, Reply)
it's always weed round here
I only smoke it when I'm doing Class As anyway, can't cope with the paranoia etc. Caning it for 15 years took its toll.
(, Sun 1 Sep 2013, 17:59, Reply)

innit

(, Sun 1 Sep 2013, 18:32, Reply)
Your back in the day was only about the mid to late 90's
Back in the days for me, there was a choice of Gold or Red seal from all dealers
(, Sun 1 Sep 2013, 17:58, Reply)
I mean from '93 to 2000 or so.
Weed became much more prevalent after the turn of the century. I'm assuming it's because it became easier to grow/farm it in the UK so smuggling of resin dropped off sharply.
(, Sun 1 Sep 2013, 18:00, Reply)
True, from the late 80's you started getting lots of shit Roccy
I ruined a fair few nice trousers and shirts due to rock burns
(, Sun 1 Sep 2013, 18:03, Reply)
You mean 'Tonys'
Tony Blackburns.
(, Sun 1 Sep 2013, 18:05, Reply)

(, Sun 1 Sep 2013, 17:43, Reply)

Or is TTJ?
(, Sun 1 Sep 2013, 17:49, Reply)
nah, he'd violently kill a henchman or three and then come out with a smarmy one-liner.
That level of flippancy just after a multiple murder is quite something.
(, Sun 1 Sep 2013, 17:51, Reply)

So, proper cunt, then.
(, Sun 1 Sep 2013, 17:53, Reply)
oh come on

(, Sun 1 Sep 2013, 18:44, Reply)
He had some quite callous moments in some films.
Also I have to confess having a soft spot for Moonraker as it's the first one I saw at the cinema.
(, Sun 1 Sep 2013, 17:47, Reply)
