great for a weekend
quirky interesting shops, lots of historical interest, some really good bars, and a nice atmosphere.

i love it, but i find it a bit small after london.

i think new shitholes are more depressing than old shitholes
because if you go somewhere shit that still has lovely old buildings underneath the shit, you can clean them up. whereas places like welwyn garden city and MK are just depressing square "architecture" like kids make out of lego.
