In a pie?
I thought they'd get lost in one.

Salmon, smoked trout and a.n.other, prawns, boiled eggs, spinach and topped with mustard/cheese mash with a cream sauce made with shallots, garlic and double cream.

I might do one next week since it's takeaway weekend.
We fucking love food on here.

Taste is an under indulged sense.

They add a nice richness.
Never understood why people add eggs to fish pie.

I like them but I can't leave them to cook that long.
I make holes in the mash with a spoon and drop them in. Then cover them up again.

I'd rather fry good bacon in butter until crispy then 30 secs a side for the scallops
Brown bread.

Deffo on their own is best.
But they are nice in a pie.

Personally, I'd have a scallop starter and use the coral in the pie.

Oooh, thats a good idea

(, Thu 13 Feb 2014, 16:16, Reply)
That's a good idea. I haven't cooked scallops for ages. Must rectify that soon.
