Evening all

Get out of my house.

(, Thu 27 Feb 2014, 20:34, Reply)
Is your house still underwater?

(, Thu 27 Feb 2014, 20:35, Reply)
Nope.

(, Thu 27 Feb 2014, 20:38, Reply)
Did you have proper troubles though?
You mentioned a while ago that your island thingy was close to being flooded
(, Thu 27 Feb 2014, 20:39, Reply)
I was there on Sunday. It was fine.

(, Thu 27 Feb 2014, 20:40, Reply)
Thats OK then
I love Oxford. Had some cracking times down there
(, Thu 27 Feb 2014, 20:40, Reply)
I had a superb weekend. Did me a great deal of good.
Apart from the massive cut on my left knee I gained from falling over.

(I may have tried a beverage or twenty by this point).
(, Thu 27 Feb 2014, 20:46, Reply)
My mate Mark did a PhD there
We used to go down for 3-4 days on the piss there. Quality
(, Thu 27 Feb 2014, 20:48, Reply)
Oxford has a lot of pubs, but The Fir Tree is the best of the lot.
1. Students tend not to go there.
2. They serve Stowford Press cider.
(, Thu 27 Feb 2014, 20:50, Reply)
I cant remember the name of the one we always went in.
It was down a small alley near the round library, near that bridge thingy

Ceiling height was about 5' 10" which was fine for the first 4 pints, but then got a bit more dangerous as the night went on for me as I could only stand up properly between the rafters. My mate Sheila, who was always with me, is about 5' 0" so we sent her to the bar instead

The turf.

(, Thu 27 Feb 2014, 20:53, Reply)

We also went drinking in Cowley but I cant remember the names of any of the pubs there
(, Thu 27 Feb 2014, 20:54, Reply)
There was talk about me having a drink with a stranger.
Stupid weird village island.

They said "why were you drinking with a middle aged midget?"
And I said it was part of my community service.
(, Thu 27 Feb 2014, 20:50, Reply)
Someone on the train had seen me in The Punter
said 'Excuse me, we haven't met, but why were you spending your Sunday with some ginger prick with a gay dog?'

I said it was part of my community service.
(, Thu 27 Feb 2014, 20:52, Reply)
I didn't even know my dog had been to Oxford

(, Thu 27 Feb 2014, 20:53, Reply)

Micro tonight?
Whats cooking?
(, Thu 27 Feb 2014, 20:44, Reply)
Micro tomorrow morning, then all weekend from Saturday morning.
Sweet & spicy chicken with noodles. Yourself?
(, Thu 27 Feb 2014, 20:47, Reply)
Good stuff
I'm pleased to see you are getting good access still, despiter anything else going on.

We went plain old school and had chicken breasts in breadcrumbs as chicken burgers. Kids fucking loved them and ate the lot, both of them. Practically unheard of to have two empty plates

Mrs Cow is on cooking tomorrow then I'll do a risotto Saturday and a roast Sunday
(, Thu 27 Feb 2014, 20:50, Reply)
Good food work. What sort of risotto? I like a chicken, asparagus & goats cheese one.

(, Thu 27 Feb 2014, 20:53, Reply)
I've been doing a chicken and nommy chorizo one
with griddled courgettes and peppers
(, Thu 27 Feb 2014, 20:55, Reply)
Griddled courgettes are ace.

I'm planting some seeds on Saturday to try and grow my own

(, Thu 27 Feb 2014, 21:05, Reply)
I've grown them before.
First attempt was shit; leaf mould ruined them. Second attempt; successful.

Plus: flowers to eat. Yum.
(, Thu 27 Feb 2014, 21:11, Reply)
Thats the plan
I've tasked my parents with buying unusual seeds for me to grow
(, Thu 27 Feb 2014, 21:12, Reply)

(, Thu 27 Feb 2014, 21:18, Reply)
That's a nice thing for retired people to do - they'll love doing that.

(, Thu 27 Feb 2014, 21:14, Reply)
I wish they'd help out more with the bloody kids though
Paying a childminder to look after the boy 4 days a week when they live round the corner really gets on your nerves
(, Thu 27 Feb 2014, 21:17, Reply)
Depends on their age & competency.
My ex MIL is 70 and has early stage memory problems - no way is she allowed to look after micro.
(, Thu 27 Feb 2014, 21:20, Reply)
Both going strong and fully competant

(, Thu 27 Feb 2014, 21:24, Reply)
Oh goats cheese
I want some now
(, Thu 27 Feb 2014, 20:57, Reply)

(, Thu 27 Feb 2014, 20:41, Reply)

I know that seems impossible

I have my appraisal/1-2-1 tomorrow. That should be fun...
(, Thu 27 Feb 2014, 20:51, Reply)

(, Thu 27 Feb 2014, 20:52, Reply)
