Shit, if it's gonna be that kind of party...
Here is where that quote comes from, by the way.

Bolognaise FTW
Not my own made bolognaise, but good none the less.

Mushrooms are the evil ancrenne. Pure, unadulterated evil. Hate* them.

*For 'hate' see 'am allergic to'. Highly allergic it would appear.

I've just realised how rubbish my tea sounds today
Yesterday, I had a Spanish omelette made with home-grown surprise* potato. Sunday's dinner was roast beef and potatoes with home-grown carrots, peas, beans and parsley.

*I was digging out the bean stalks from the garden and the plant next to them that we weren't really sure about but just ignored turned out to be a potato. We hadn't planted any potatoes.

for the record
the cannelloni were delicious

fry cubed pancetta
simmer 3 chopped leeks in 300ml veg stock till soft
drain leeks, keeping stock
combine leeks and pancetta, season and wrap with fresh lasagne sheets to make tubes
put in ovenproof dish
pour over a mixture of reserved stock, 200ml creme fraiche, 1 tbsp wholegrain mustard, seasoning and 50g grated cheddar
sprinkle with breadcrumbs and more grated cheese
bake for 20 mins at 200 degrees

I have a cottage pie
in the oven. I have however done my usual trick of making enough for 10 people by accident.
