I'm afraid
that this heralds the end of our beautiful relationship my dear Badger.
I simply cannot carry on with someone who dislikes Marmite.

it is a fact that you will either despise it more than anything you've ever tasted, or it will become your main reason for continued existence

I prefer actual steak, if I'm to taste beef. Unless it's a good stew.
Liquid steak sounds like the quintessence of fail.
EDIT: Cheez Whiz is basically Velveeta in a jar- runny, fluorescent yellow-orange stuff that tastes like it has the same relation to cheese that Yorkies have to wolves. Rather nasty, but it has its uses at times.

proper mash is ace.
try whole grain mustard mash, cheesy mash, garlic mash or rustic mash (this involves being lazy and mashing potatoes with the skins on)
EDITED for less marshes

speaking of mash
if you whizz up some cauliflower in the blender with butter and cream it makes yummy, but less stodgy, mash.
and butternut squash mash with mascarpone cheese is almost indecently tasty.

my mum did her very own special "lumpy" mash with nothing added. No butter, no milk, nothing.
I only started liking it when I started making my own and adding things to spice it up. Also gravy. Mum treated gravy powder like an endangered species. I make it almost thick enough to stand the spoon in!

Childhood Scoff
That your healthy-eating brain screams 'Noooooo' at but is just so nice...
Tinned meatballs
Tinned burgers in gravy
(made out of the rejected 'meat' from the Whiskas factory, but schlurpy gravy)
Mince & Tatties
(Sole vegetable aside from the tatties being the onion)
Corned beef hash
Stovies
(Higher fat content than a spermwhale butty)
Any more?

In Embra in the 70s/80s that was what you ate. She is actually a superb cook, coming from a farming family helps, but we were very poor in those days.
She also likes brawn (wobble).

The optimal dinner
Filet mignon, cooked so that the center is still red but warm, with mashed potatoes (with sour cream, butter, salt, pepper and some parmesan mixed in), broccoli lightly steamed so it's still crunchy with butter and lemon on it, and a bottle of Chimay Grande Reserve to go with it. A little highland malt to serve as dessert, and I could die a happy man.

Tongue not soo bad.

something I've discovered recently is
Malt loaf
fucking ace with butter.
then I decided to toast it. it's amazing. cut a thick slice of soreen (any variety although cinnamon one is nicest) and whack it in the toaster (you'll need tongs to get the bugger out again)
It goes deliciously crispy on the outside and soft and gooey on the inside.
mmmm

The best and only new years resolution
That I've kept was to eat new things.
Sometimes horrid, mostly enlightening and delicious!
It's incredible how much food prejudice the average person has that is unfounded or out of date.

I go through phases of eating it cold though, first time you try it I would recommend heating it through though.

How did you have it?
In a stew is nice I was going to try steaks but I was debating if it would taste better cooked medium rare like steak or more well done like venison.
Edit: I read your sig as you wanting badgers and mash!

I need to find a new friendly butcher who sells horse
I can only think of one butcher and I think he may be too mainstream
Edit: DiT sorry I meant I have my cow steak rare to medium rare but I like venison steak more medium (so more well done than the cow steak)
