you'd have loved me a minute ago
my mouse stops working for no good reason, so i turn the computer off and on again. nothing. ring IT, thinking "bring me a new mouse" is hardly a difficult request. surprise surprise, nothing. no reply.

so i unplug and replug the mouse. and it starts doing something REALLY weird, the icon is blinking so fast it's giving me epilepsy. can you guess what the problem was, when IT finally picked up the phone?

It was a (semi) serious answer
as it was the cause of issues for a lady I had to deal with once, she had one of those adjustable height desks and when raising it the edge keys (such as CTRL and ENTER) would sometimes catch on the underside of her chesticles, causing odd things to happen to her computer.
