Why?

(, Wed 1 Oct 2014, 13:10, 1 reply, 10 years ago)
Because they have committed a serious crime and are consequently more likely to commit another
I'm not sure tangiers, but you're coming across a bit thick
(, Wed 1 Oct 2014, 13:12, Reply)
But you can be convicted of serious crime in this country and still move around the EU

(, Wed 1 Oct 2014, 13:13, Reply)
how is that relevant?

(, Wed 1 Oct 2014, 13:14, Reply)
If you dont want other crims coming here then surely you object to our crims going overseas

(, Wed 1 Oct 2014, 13:16, Reply)
that's fine, but that's an issue for other countries
and makes no difference to the original point
(, Wed 1 Oct 2014, 13:18, Reply)
Apart from the bit where you mention EU citizens
as we are all EU citizens and part of that is the right to free movement across borders you cant have one without the other
(, Wed 1 Oct 2014, 13:20, Reply)
yes you can

(, Wed 1 Oct 2014, 13:26, Reply)
OK thanks for clarifying

(, Wed 1 Oct 2014, 13:29, Reply)
We want BRITISH CRIMES committed by BRITISH CRIMINALS

(, Wed 1 Oct 2014, 13:19, Reply)
If we could deport british criminals then we would, but we can't
however we could keep out foreign ones, thus reducing the overall number of criminals in the country.

Your post is classic left wing bollocks that avoids the point by screaming nationalism
(, Wed 1 Oct 2014, 13:27, Reply)
Perhaps we should be tougher on the causes of crime?
Y'know, tackle poverty and the increasing gap between the rich and poor?
(, Wed 1 Oct 2014, 13:31, Reply)
poverty doesn't cause rape or all murders

(, Wed 1 Oct 2014, 13:35, Reply)
I suppose some of our most prolific sex offenders have been very wealthy people

(, Wed 1 Oct 2014, 13:37, Reply)
Why not? Sexual urges have no correlation to wealth
Priests, teachers etc who have been busted as nonces would be considered middle class.

Your not doing very well today tangles, perhaps gaz Al for some back up
(, Wed 1 Oct 2014, 13:40, Reply)
I think you misunderstood my post

(, Wed 1 Oct 2014, 13:43, Reply)
I read sarcasm that perhaps wasn't there, soz sweetcheeks

(, Wed 1 Oct 2014, 13:45, Reply)
no, i think most people would be quite happy with the latter bit
go and nick other people's stuff, off you go.
(, Wed 1 Oct 2014, 13:24, Reply)
Surely a rehabilitated offender would be less likely to commit crimes.
Also, having served their time, why should they be punished further?
(, Wed 1 Oct 2014, 13:16, Reply)
not sure if trolling or serious

(, Wed 1 Oct 2014, 13:23, Reply)
he's serious
And he's also 100% correct.
(, Wed 1 Oct 2014, 13:26, Reply)
ah, so nobody ever goes on to commit another crime after being supposedly rehabilitated?
"got it".
(, Wed 1 Oct 2014, 13:28, Reply)
Is rehabilitation not a part of our criminal justice system?

(, Wed 1 Oct 2014, 13:32, Reply)
are you saying it's 100% effective?

(, Wed 1 Oct 2014, 13:33, Reply)
Not at all.
In fact I think we should probably invest more money into it.
We could fund this with an increase in the top rate of tax.
(, Wed 1 Oct 2014, 13:35, Reply)
Norway has some of the lowest rates of recidivism
and has a prison system that is seen as soft... i.e. only being able to give Anders LOL MASTER Brevik 25 years
(, Wed 1 Oct 2014, 13:37, Reply)
High taxes and all
But get out of here with your 'facts to back up ideas'
(, Wed 1 Oct 2014, 13:40, Reply)
I approve of Norways system
I just wanted to use the word recidivism coz it makes me look clevererererer

(, Wed 1 Oct 2014, 13:41, Reply)
when you start paying the top rate of tax
you can have a srs view on how it should be spent, mm-kay?
(, Wed 1 Oct 2014, 13:38, Reply)
I don't think you understand how a democracy is supposed to work.

(, Wed 1 Oct 2014, 13:39, Reply)
No one is saying that.

(, Wed 1 Oct 2014, 13:36, Reply)
not really unfortunately
i'd split sentences into halves, first half, awful punishment second half proper rehabilitation and slow reintroduction into civilian life with proper housing and job finding support
(, Wed 1 Oct 2014, 13:34, Reply)
really? I'm pretty sure that serial rapists retain the rape urge after they leave prison, that's why we have the sex offenders list and control orders
or are you saying once crims get out of prison they never ever commit another crime?
(, Wed 1 Oct 2014, 13:30, Reply)
i think he's saying we can totally trust the assessments of people who consider them to be rehabilitated
one of my friends does this job. she's just settled down with a man who met her when he was married, lied to her and his wife for 4 years, including such gems for why he couldn't leave the wife as "my dad's dying of cancer" (he wasn't), "my wife will hurt the child, she has mental health issues" (she doesn't), "the kid burned itself and we're in A&E" (it hadn't), "i'm moving to china with work" (he was in derby all along)... then came back to her when his wife booted him out. and she believes he'll never lie or cheat on her.

i really hope she's not representative of their gullibility.

it's key word "barnes" now, the cunt's moved down here and she's moved down with him
if you and mrs ape had split up, would you voluntarily move 200 miles away from the mini apes, so you only saw them once a fortnight? i think the fact that he's done this is proof that he's not normal...
