kid novelty. when my dad were a lad, he had a job in the crisp factory one summer, putting those packets of salt in the crisps. he said sometimes they would pile in 4 or 5, to give someone a surprise. must have been a crazy place to work.

The spin offs were a nice touch, I seem to remember one of them being bacon flavoured. Tasted shit though.
I'm pretty certain that salt'n'shake is still available if you want to give it a whirl as an adult.

They're either heavy handed with the flavouring (just how I like it) or it's non-existant. I had some from Morrisons the other week that were ace.

my mum hardly ever let us have crisps, but when she did buy a multipack from time to time, my brother and i were banned from going anywhere near the s&v ones. those were daddy's special crisps.
