Morning folks
Friday at last!

and I have next week off work. Check me out!

How was the bash? How was not going to the bash?

Tell all within....

Mornin' V
Lucky you, having a week off. Never mind, at least my boss is away for a week or two, so I have autonomy. Which means I get twice as much b3ta time and still manage to do at least as much work, because of the lack of nonsense being spoken!

Liked your band clip below by the way. Your band sounds pretty damn good.

Morning Everyone
I coughed up some blood this morning.
Think I should really go to the docs about this chest infection:(
(, Fri 26 Sep 2008, 8:40, Reply)
thanks k2k6!
good news about the extra b3ta time too

I'll try and get the other half to video us on sunday and get some other songs up on youtube.

BK: going to do the doc is probably a good plan....

Good morrow, BK
Sounds like you really need to visit the quack. Coughing blood is never good.
(, Fri 26 Sep 2008, 8:48, Reply)
it was just a little bit
I've prbably just scratched the back of my throat with too much coughing.

Just going to chill at the weekend and try and not smoke and see how I am Monday.
(, Fri 26 Sep 2008, 8:49, Reply)
Morning all
See how you fare over the weekend BK, if you're still bad, get thee to a nunnery clap clinic your GP.
(, Fri 26 Sep 2008, 8:57, Reply)
Smoking
A mate of mine, at the time a heavy smoker, landed in hospital a few years ago with pneumonia and pleurisy.

He was told that when it cleared up, he should stop smoking, which he has. But while the infection was still present, apparently it was best for him to keep on the fags, because the smoke stopped excess fluid production in the lungs, or something like that, which would have made the condition worse.

Strange but true.

Morning LM
Yup, I think a weekend lounging about in bed with laptop, dvd's, F1, vitamins, water and medicinal whisky is in order.

For the weekends after I am busy with a provisional trip to London in 3 weeks. Woo!

*edit* @K2
That is odd - felt ropey with it last weekend at BGB's and it hasn't cleared on its own so think it's an infection. Don't want to chug antibiotics till I'm sure though.

I'm going to try and make it to one of the London ones soon - I need to meet some of these people.

There's one brewing in London for the 18th of next month I think.

I'm going to hopefully make it down for that one.

Bash next month you say? I'll do my best to come to that one. I might be living in London by then but if I'm not then I'll be temping so I can get a day or two off. Ace.

So... Potential quiz night
Next Sunday :D

Sounds a plan, if it works out, timing-wise.

Jim, I love the "I'm not drunk" stories...
My first b3ta-bash, I was shit-faced, and walked down some stairs, straight into a wall, instead of turning the corner.
The obvious response to this in my drunken mind was to deny it had happened, and shout "I'M NOT DRUNK".

I don't think anyone believed me.

That sounds like a conversation with me. I always end up putting lots of innuendo in without meaning to. Then I get all tangled up in what I'm trying to say and end up getting the giggles.

God I'm simple sometimes.

Her - Is it OK if we don't go out tonight, I'd like to see to see a band with my mates.

I saw the full story on a Motorway program last night.

They were definately high on something, as one got hit by two cars *on a motorway* gets up, then has a fight with the copper before running in front of more traffic.

Her twin sister who ran from police straight under the wheels on an Articulated lorry, only got her legs broken. They don't show the impact on the website clip, but its impressive that she survived at all!

Except, Kaol
That the insurance wouldn't pay out if you left the car in a state such that it didn't require any effort to break into.

It's like folk who have their cars pinched when they go in to pay for petrol, leaving the keys in the ignition, with the bonus for the thief that he can drive quite a long way before he has to refuel. Their insurance won't pay out.

So long as you still allow some to become ketchup, and others to become pasta/pizza sauces. All tomatoes aspire to reach these lofty callings.

Celery is OK
It has a slightly odd taste, but is nice and crunchy. It also takes more energy to digest than is gained from eating it, and so is in effect a negative calorie food.

So it's not a good survival food - you'd die more quickly if you ate only celery rather than eating nothing at all (assuming you had drinking water available). It is however a useful diet foodstuff for that same reason.

I'm not entirely sure what happened at darts. Just as it was getting to the crucial point, where I needed double something-or-other to win, I embarked on a serious conversation with Ancrenne and lost track. However, I do remember Wookiee looming up in front of me, waving the darts around and shouting, 'I won! In your face!' so I took this to mean it was all over.

I wonder which bastard handed the darts in and made off with my £5 deposit. Put it in a charity pot, whoever you are, or may your guilt hound you until you're a dry, quivering shell of a man. Or woman.

The real fun
in Guitar Hero is the showboating. It's a bit rubbish when you just push the buttons but when you are working the axe properly it becomes proper fun!

But I'm lazy and don't want to walk up the road to get it.

But if I do, I can have a cigarette.

But if I don't I can sit here.

*sigh*

Why is life so hard?

No freaking way
I get to visit 2 awesome castles, potentially meet himjim and TGB before having a night out with a friend from uni in Cardiff then on Sunday I get to go round Cardiff castle and drive home.

That's what I call a weekend.

They are fun games, but I prefer Rock Band purely for the 'whole band' feel.

That and I like hitting the drums lots and lots. It's primal...almost...sexual...

I get to go to Southend :(
And then do some laundry.
Then on the Sunday morning I'm shooting a music video.
Then nothing else.

I have to go to a wedding tomorrow
Which means spending the whole day with Mr VPs friends.
Which I STILL get nervous about doing after knowing them for more than 3 years.
How pathetic is that?!

So who's game for a mini-bash in Warwick tomorrow?

After looking at it a bit more the best time for me is going to be late afternoon as I expect to arrive in Warwick between 3 and 4 and need to leave at 6.

Good answer!
Nobody should drive to Essex.
I dunno how it'll go.
It's only a couple of hours.
But I'm driving, so I can't drink.

I've not had a chance to play Rock Band yet
but according to a mate, the singing works more on pitch and timing than actual lyrics. As such, you can make up as much weird shite as you like providing it fits the beat. Sounds quality to me!

My ex lives with her ex-before-me, which was weird at first when we were seeing each other, but I got over it quickly. It was a long distance relationship too, so they saw each other a lot more than I saw her.

Edit: Bah, just missed her!

I have, consistently, forgotten to bring my glasses to work. I wear them for prolonged computer work (which, err, is my job) due to astigmatism.

I loves them, they look a'right and stop my left eye from twitching like a overly-caffeinated tourettes sufferer.
