I can't go away from the internet.
I can leave b3ta but there has been harassment outside of b3ta. It didn't stop on b3ta when I didn't post for a year. And it hasn't stopped, so my "take it on the chin" and "it's not worth escalating" patience has worn out.

My understanding is that you revealed your own real name on an irreverant comedy website
Then proceeded to have a series of high-profile fallings-out with several popular forum members.

You then seem to be expressing outrage at your name being re-posted on the same forum where you yourself published your name.

You then open yourself up for further ridicule by creating a profile on a BDSM website using the same account name that you use here.

As your complaints increase in magnititude, so does the level of abuse you're getting. Re-appearing on here every day is not helping at all.

A more sensible course of action would perhaps have been to step away from the keyboard and go and play somewhere else, don't you think?

Fair enough,
here's my understanding.
I have posted on b3ta for a while.
I have repeatedly blocked users from replying to me on b3ta using the tools available on the website.
Some users on b3ta have on more than 2 occasions posted comments and information that caused me alarm. Specifically accusations of serious crimes.
I also received a skype call and phone calls. Profile in my real name, and variations of my username have been made.
Some users on b3ta posted my photo and personally identifiable information without permission. And have refused to remove them when asked.
I have repeatedly asked people to stop and made it clear that I believe it counts as harassment.
I left b3ta for over a year and it didn't stop.

As I've said before, I'm never going to agree that it's just harmless banter no matter what people say on here. So it either stops or I'll have to do whatever I can to make it stop.

Let me ask you this
Do you feel more harrassed now, or during the year when you were away from the site?

My point being, that if you permanently left then people would soon forget about you and the perceived harassment would rapidly tail off.

Also, you may think you were away for a year, but there was a widespread suspicion that you were lurking during that time. That in itself probably prolonged the 'harrassment' and was really not helping yourself, IMHO.

I feel more harrassed now because I recieved phone calls and skype messages
which took it from a words on the screen mentality to an actual interrupting my real life thing. I may have looked at the popular pages of b3ta once or twice a month, I think I logged in to call naked ape an idiot.
But more importantly it's not up to me to stop letting the harassment affect me for fucks sake, it's up to the people continuing the harassment to stop. That's is the main point, this isn't my problem, this is theirs.

As I said, lurking - even monthly - will not help. Responding to taunts, phone calls, etc also doesn't help.
