I'm becoming a social animal, baby! Yeah!

Like a ferret. A social stoat. Maybe a muntjack. Yeah!

Made up animal surely?

Evenin'
Last night, it was someone at work's birthday so we went out and got trashed. We did a pub-quiz and talked about monkeys a lot. However, this morning, there was no sign of hangover, and I felt more focused than usual. A lot of the others felt this way too. Maybe it was the good vibes bouncing around last night.

Wow it's quiet tonight. Is everyone out in the *shudders* Real World?
(, Fri 7 Nov 2008, 20:19, Reply)
@TGB
Looks like it. Why can't everyone else have a life on Thursday night instead of Friday night?

* noms tumbleweed *

Anyway, how was your day?
(, Fri 7 Nov 2008, 20:29, Reply)
I'm still here
Just.

Evenin' rubberduck & Psap
@Psap: I'll have some of that cake if you don't mind. Once it's in my stomach, it matters not whether or not there was a crack.

Was being sad and watching the xfactor from last week :p

Well...
I managed to get Jerry Pournelle to publish an email I sent to him. Go here and scroll down to the part about re: Sharing the Wealth.

Pournelle is a noted conservative. Getting him to publish something from a noted liberal like myself *snerk* is a bit of an accomplishment. Too bad he kinda missed my point about Palin. She may not have caused the current mess, but neither did Obama, really- he's only been in the Mad House for a year, after all. But she demonstrated in the debates and interviews that she's not good at thinking quickly- not a good quality for a leader. Or at least the leader of anything bigger than a sparsely populated chunk of Arctic tundra...
(, Fri 7 Nov 2008, 21:25, Reply)
Oi, where are you all?
You're supposed to be here being funny and entertaining so I can drop in the occasional comment while I sit in the pub waiting for the evening to get underway. Instead what do I get, fucking tumbleweed! ;-)

Is everyone out IRL tonight then or something?
(, Fri 7 Nov 2008, 21:56, Reply)
*insert witty comment here
I think there's a party going on that none of us have been invited to.

I've returned from blowing up the sky, and now am in a mood for a chat.
(, Fri 7 Nov 2008, 22:01, Reply)

I have German beer, from Germany.
No ice-cream though. *sad*

What film are you thinking about watching?

*snuggles* I looks like we have the place to ourselves tonight.
(, Fri 7 Nov 2008, 22:19, Reply)
Well you can have a lick of
my cone if you like ;)

And maybe Ong Bak or Rainman. Because I have owned Rainman for three years and never watched it!!
(, Fri 7 Nov 2008, 22:20, Reply)
*Licks*
I saw Rainman at the cinema years ago, it's good, and I've been wanting to see Ong Bak for ages.

Thought you were going out for a meal?
(, Fri 7 Nov 2008, 22:24, Reply)
He has just texted me

(, Fri 7 Nov 2008, 22:26, Reply)
I'll not make you do anything
except *snuggles*, but I think you like them anyway!

If you don't want to, then don't. I know he's your ex and all, but would it be a good thing to do? Or would it dredge up bad feelings?

*hugs*

My cat now wants a hug as well!
(, Fri 7 Nov 2008, 22:30, Reply)
Ong Bak rocks!
that is all.
(, Fri 7 Nov 2008, 22:31, Reply)
I think
it would result in bad.

Just general bad!
(, Fri 7 Nov 2008, 22:31, Reply)
Hi Red
Come to crash the party? I wish I could watch it, everybody I know says it's good.

If it will result in BAD then don't do it Badger, we like the happy Badger!

And here you can get virtual *snuggle grope snogs*

Good evening?

I'm ok thanks
Been shooting people in the head with a .44 so I could steal their material wealth for my own nefarious ends.

Any game where you can be so evil that you get bounty hunters sent after you to "put an end to your wicked ways" is fantastic.

For the record, I killed the bounty hunters, and stole their clothes.
(, Fri 7 Nov 2008, 22:41, Reply)
Also
hello Kaol and getting drunk mainly Dok :p
(, Fri 7 Nov 2008, 22:41, Reply)
Yeah Fuzzy
You tell her!

For some strange reason, known only to the gods, I have a Tiffany song stuck in my head!

Kaol, nice, I like a bit of nefarious doings.

Yay Badger, be happy. Soon we'll have to call you the Happy Little Grammar Badger. ;) *snog*

I meant other than getting drunk, silly Sammich. That's a given.
(, Fri 7 Nov 2008, 22:44, Reply)
I dunno really
being a bit crazy? :p

I've very kindly been offered crash space so just see where the night goes really!
(, Fri 7 Nov 2008, 22:49, Reply)
Was it
Drixy, or Wookie?
(, Fri 7 Nov 2008, 22:50, Reply)
Nope
Do you want to carry on guessing? :p
(, Fri 7 Nov 2008, 22:51, Reply)
Oh Noes!
My nefarious plans fell through!

Somebody nice I hope!

But it will be nice for us Southern folks to see you anyway.
(, Fri 7 Nov 2008, 22:53, Reply)

And yes I thought I'd treat you all to my presence :p
(, Fri 7 Nov 2008, 22:54, Reply)

I may just die with an-ti-ci-pation, waiting for the end of the month!
(, Fri 7 Nov 2008, 22:57, Reply)

Try not to die then you won't be able to buy me drinks :p
(, Fri 7 Nov 2008, 23:00, Reply)
Yes!
Lusty is indeed lovely!

Yay for the Lusty one!

Of course I'll buy you drinks, what more could I do for my lovely Badger! *snuggle & tickle with beard*

I should have my hair dyed by then as well. One problem with that though is that my blonde bits will go pink! Not sure if that wouls be nice to be honest, so I may have to cut my hair. :(
(, Fri 7 Nov 2008, 23:04, Reply)
Well you should do it
and see and send me pics and I'll judge :p
(, Fri 7 Nov 2008, 23:07, Reply)
Hang on
You get to judge my beard and my hair? Whatever will you want to judge next?

I get to judge, oh wait, I'm not a judgemental person!
(, Fri 7 Nov 2008, 23:09, Reply)
I judge all
*nods sagely*
(, Fri 7 Nov 2008, 23:13, Reply)
Well in that case
I'll have to be on my best behaviour at the bash, resplendent with my beard! *hugs*
(, Fri 7 Nov 2008, 23:16, Reply)
haha
ok I'll remind you about that :p

Well I have to be up early tomorrow for my hair appointment in Oxford so see you all later *smooches*
(, Fri 7 Nov 2008, 23:25, Reply)
Night night
Oxford you say!

Have a good one, and don't get too much of your hair cut off!
(, Fri 7 Nov 2008, 23:27, Reply)
Bother.
I just don't listen to my own advice.

Have been on the phone to my ex for the last hour... Hmph.

*rolls eyes*
(, Sat 8 Nov 2008, 0:37, Reply)
@WFF
If you're not going to listen to your own advice that's one thing but never ignore Miss Moneypenny:

"Never go back James"
(, Sat 8 Nov 2008, 0:57, Reply)
Thanks for that...
*considers*

Trouble is, the problem that illicited the "step away from the ex" comment above was what we talked about for an hour on the phone, and we definitely both feel better for talking about it. I think.

To save boring you with details (as if I haven't already!) here's the short version:

"We were on a break!"

redundancy
hey there my lovelies! long time no chat... I'm feeling bitter tonight.... now... if someone was feeling particularity aggrieved with an employer whom she felt was bullying her before her "redundancy" what would you do??

Thats a very leading question indeed! however, a last drink with a colleague has lead me to believe this may be more of a cull of un desirables rather than the current economic crisis!
(, Sat 8 Nov 2008, 1:35, Reply)
Bully them back
What can they do - fire you again?

Kaol, his name deserves clicks. It is most full of win :)
(, Sat 8 Nov 2008, 1:39, Reply)
What can i do??
I have two days!! there is no bullying time left... i want revenge! I actually started to doubt myself... they made me feel like a complete inept fool!
(, Sat 8 Nov 2008, 1:45, Reply)
Revenge eh?
You've come to the right place.

Any phobias?
(, Sat 8 Nov 2008, 1:47, Reply)
Are you aware of any times
they might have gone against company policy in any way? If so, make it known!
(, Sat 8 Nov 2008, 1:48, Reply)
no phobias
however, i've a list of unnecessary crap, ie reading all emails, internal messaging, bullying of other staff, generally being mean to me, actually watching my every move including watching how long people go to the toilet listening in whilst people talk whilsyt hiding outside of the office....

enough yet??
(, Sat 8 Nov 2008, 1:54, Reply)
Awh,
That's fucking rubbish :(
*hugs*

I'm going to bed now, busy day tomorrow.
Night!
(, Sat 8 Nov 2008, 1:56, Reply)
@week...
Having been through similar twice now I have pertinant things to add. However I'm half pissed and posting from my phone so am not in an ideal position to do so! Gaz me a reminder and I'll reply properly tomorrow.

Regardless, this sucks, good luck!
