I think I like this bit of Christmas - it's rather like having a larder and freezer full of ingredients and home baking.
OMG!
I'm turning into Nigella!

*Makes note to self*
*Stop scoffing chocolate as it's settling around my arse much in the same way as Nigella.*
*Pushes Nigella away from arse*

Even books end up looking like the paper might be torn off to reveal a tree branch.
( , Wed 17 Dec 2008, 18:04, Reply)

and I don't plan on getting any better. Mr Bin is very good and wrapping so I get to sit round eatin mince pies while he does all the work.
( , Wed 17 Dec 2008, 18:16, Reply)

It's not just me then. I thought it was because I'm a bloke, as my sister could wrap up a cactus and make it look like it a work of art.
Whereas I can fuck up wrapping rectilinear presents.
( , Wed 17 Dec 2008, 18:23, Reply)

one year for Christmas and had lots of fun and swearing trying to wrap it. In the end I wrapped each prong individually.
Ning all :)
( , Wed 17 Dec 2008, 18:31, Reply)

but I do enjoy it.
At first.
By the time I've done an hour or two and wrapped about ten gifts I'm pissed off with the whole thing and end up knocking back large quantities of mulled wine.
Now *that's* my idea of Christmas!

I've not been around here a great deal of late, as I've been busy with work, gigs and
But I've been popping in and out during the day this week. Life is busy, but good.

Any more of that and you WILL go across my knee.
@K2K6 glad life is treating you well sir.

Woolies are going to close on the 7th of January.
It's a bit of a shame, but I'm not sure why.

It's gone very quiet round here
*shames*
How are you Mrs Bin?
( , Wed 17 Dec 2008, 19:08, Reply)

I have started my Christmas holidays today.
I was meant to be working but they cancelled.
Nothing now until I start my first proper teaching job on January 5th.
Yourself?
( , Wed 17 Dec 2008, 19:10, Reply)

is a great shop. I use it a lot. Admittedly, it's usually for low value hardware sort of stuff, like a tube of glue or a light bulb for the oven, but it's much handier than having to get in the car to go to B&Q or the like.
( , Wed 17 Dec 2008, 19:12, Reply)

to have killed the thread.
*dons hat*
Oh well, I'm off for a bit to do other stuff.
Laters.
( , Wed 17 Dec 2008, 19:24, Reply)

I hope the teaching goes well.
Am working a late one - again. I'm working in a new job too. I've not been home before 11pm for days and I feel exhausted.
Plus I've got to do my xmas shopping...

I'm not a fan of ginger cats that bite through to the bone and owners that don't apologise for not telling you that their cat is evil.
Off to type stuff up now - somewhat cackhandedly.

Happy Bday Davros, remember you're still younger than me!
How are you lot tonight?
EDIT OK I've borken the thread again, it would appear that I'm now better at it than Davros!
( , Wed 17 Dec 2008, 20:03, Reply)

Dok, I taught you all you know about thread killing and don't you forget it!
( , Wed 17 Dec 2008, 20:25, Reply)

My thread killing master. I bow before your superior ability!
Having a good day?
( , Wed 17 Dec 2008, 20:35, Reply)

I've been at work all day, had to go to an evening meeting which meant I got in after seven, and my family are all at death's door, so...
On the flip side I got the DW series four box set, the Incredible Hulk DVD, a bottle of the nicest Ouzo in the world, and several bottles of fine ales. And I have wine.
So on balance... yeah. Not a bad day.
How's your good self?
( , Wed 17 Dec 2008, 20:42, Reply)

Nigella is talking about thick white sticky mixtures.
Men across the country are running to the bathroom.

I'm not to bad just playing lemmings at the moment!
Hi Mrs Bin!

I'm off to watch Heroes before anyone can accuse me of fucking the thread again.
By 'fucking' I do of course mean 'killing' which is a different thing altogether unless you're into necrophilia. Which I'm not
( , Wed 17 Dec 2008, 20:58, Reply)

And you too Dok. ;-)
How are we all this fine evening?
I'm finding myself at an unexpectedly loose end having planned to be busy for longer than I was tonight.
Still, I have a double Black Label and a warm bar stool so I'm all good!
( , Wed 17 Dec 2008, 21:01, Reply)

I'm not going to watch Heroes.
So it just looks like it's just you and me Bill...
And I'm doing the new comic...

Been silent, it's a blessed relief to be honest.
I know it'll come back and haunt me at some point though.
So you going to get the metal teeth then?
( , Wed 17 Dec 2008, 21:56, Reply)

I think I'll go for the cheap option, 'cos if it falls off again, I'd not be happy.

has Kaol stabbed this thread to death and burned its remains?

Bad news - ate too much of it.

But I've worked out what I'm doing :)
( , Wed 17 Dec 2008, 22:48, Reply)

I don't mind if it's up late cos I always save it for Thursday mornings anyway.
How was the chilli?
( , Wed 17 Dec 2008, 22:50, Reply)

Got it just right taste and heat-wise.
But the colour and texture were a little off.

And everyone else!
Time for me to depart as well I think.
I'm 38 you know - can no longer handle the pace.
( , Wed 17 Dec 2008, 23:07, Reply)

Just got back from the local Friends of the Earth Christmas meal and am slightly drunk. Despite being an environmental organisation, there were still quite a few non-vegetarians there.
In other news, I've treated myself to a PSP and some games. Now that I'm bussing it for a while, I'll have something to do on the bus.
How are you all this evening?
( , Wed 17 Dec 2008, 23:36, Reply)

I may just be playing my new PSP before I go to bed so I'll only sort of be on.
