I used the gum
and had a long weekend in another country to give up.

By the time I got back I was a non-smoker in my head, so any cravings were dealt with by gum rather than fags.

I gave up alcohol on the 30th December.
It's not an easy ride thus far, but I'm smoking more to compensate...

I went 6 days without then smoked almost a whole pack in one night on saturday.
Then I had the last two between monday and tuesday and THEN I BOUGHT A PACK TONIGHT.
I'm a terrible person.

I went a week but then broke saturday morning! got back on Sunday night but fell off again tuesday night.

its the 30 minutes after dinner that is the killer, oh, and the impossible to sleep bit as well.

I didn't even attempt to give up
because I knew I'd fail miserably.

Karma has taken its revenge on me by giving me stabbing pains in the chest though. Probably should give up but hell, I fucking love smoking.

Been off the fags for nearly 2 years now. Fucking hard work it was too, don't let any smug bastard tell you its easy!

Get through the first 3 days and your doing well, get to 7 days and your looking good, get to 2 weeks and you are just about there.

And Kaol, giving up alcohol ... I gave up on the same day !!! Fucking hell I could murder a vodka and coke!
