And God bless all who sail in her
Not here for long as I'm on my final school-bus-driving duty tomorrow morning.

Hurrah!
(, Thu 2 Apr 2009, 19:44, Reply)
Hurrah indeed!
Got time off for Easter?
(, Thu 2 Apr 2009, 19:46, Reply)
No
Jacked it in.

I don't need the money any more and I CERTAINLY don't need the shit any more.

Good evening, lady and gentlemen
I have just finished my sausage, beans and mash and am halfway through a bottle of Old Empire. Life is good.

.
@Mel: Excellent thanks. I fixed an important part of the workflow pipeline at my office, but have to wait for tomorrow to see if the fix works in a production environment.

@The Disappointed: Yay for you. BTW: Are you the only adult on your bus?

Meanwhile, I see they still haven't closed the QOTW, so here's my version of the nativity.
(, Thu 2 Apr 2009, 19:52, Reply)
Yes - and more yes
I started off doing it as a favour for a mate.

I have a PCV license but a regular, non bus-driving job.

He needed an occasional driver on Friday mornings.

If, by any chance, any pupil from Rawdon School, North Leeds - who gets the bus that starts from Greengates - is reading...prepare for a re-enactment of Speed tomorrow morning.

I posted a thing on the QOTW suggestions, go looky :)

Pffft,
Trust you to have your mind in the gutter :p

I just sent you a message by the way.

It's because I've spent so much time with you :P
I got it and it did make sense :)

@ Disappointed
Just as well I get the train to Harrogate from Leeds then - I'd rather a shit service than the risk that you'd went all Dennis Hopper!
(, Thu 2 Apr 2009, 20:02, Reply)
Haha, fair point :p
Well, I've got a sack-full of tramp-clothes.
Time for me to ride off into the Sunset.

Catch you b3ta-folk on Monday.
Apart from you, Mel, I'll see you in the morning :p

Evening Chains Kaol & Boss
@The Disappointed: I'm sure the kids would appreciate it. As a former school-bus passenger, I was always hoping my busjourneys were as short as possible.

@Mel: Let's hope so. I'm just wondering what my boss will make of my department now that I was the de-facto head for more than two months. I'm glad to have a lightened responsibility, but still, it's a bit of an upheaval.
(, Thu 2 Apr 2009, 20:07, Reply)
* waves at Kaol *
Watches cloud of smoke as Kaol's steed heads off into the sunset.

And now, I must prepare my dinner (Swedish Meatballs and Spaghetti with Arrabbiata sauce), so my posting will be more sporadic.

@BK
I don't get that far up the hill.

The Horsforth kids are the posh bunch and I've never been allowed to drive them.

I get the Greengates/Apperley Bridge/Rawdon lot who are presumably more expendable and suitable for my crash test dummy driving experience.
(, Thu 2 Apr 2009, 20:10, Reply)
@ Disappointed
That's true. I do see a generally more salubrious crowd get on at Horsforth.

Evening everyone else!

Ooh I'm off too
*hugs everyone*

Cheery-bye Mel!
So, what's with the delay in the QOTW changing?

Not that I've had fuck all to say in any of them for ages.

Bye Mel!
Crikey, it's STILL nativity plays.

This seems to be happening far too much these days, as I appear late on and everyone else has wandered off to bed or Wales or something.

Boo to you all.

Wales is awesome!
