Hello mingey.

I've just had a cracking wknd, am flying to Florence tomorrow for a holiday with the fella....
BUT, somehow still not flying over the moon with excitement.
May just be tired... it has that effect on me.

Hey dok! *hugs* how're you??

Yep, I know, I should be singing from the rooftops!
Ah well, was about to launch into a big confession of the weekend's antics, but the boss has quite cruelly appeared and demanded I do some work. So will have to wait.
Hope you all have loverley days!

( , Tue 21 Apr 2009, 10:02, Reply)

Yes I am, next month in fact.
I thought about the magic roundabout comment an then decided against it.

( , Tue 21 Apr 2009, 10:20, Reply)

When you get to our age you tend not to make a big thing of them. This year I'll be spending time with my girlfriend in Dorset.
God knows what the family will want to do.
( , Tue 21 Apr 2009, 10:21, Reply)

that I'll still be making a bit of a deal out of them when I get to your age dok. Life is life and it's precious. So if getting to forty means I celebrate a little - it's not cos I'm getting on it's because I've already had 40 years. Nearly losing dad made me very aware of how easily life can be taken away.
( , Tue 21 Apr 2009, 10:24, Reply)

I haven't had a great day so far, I spent about 3 hours yesterday carefully cataloguing the equipment I need to send to Russia only to receive an email invalidating most of what I've done and dumping a metric fuckton of work on me for today.
Hopefully you're all having a better day then I am!

I'm not sure turning the head of shipping into a Vamp would be a good idea though!

Bill - I'd kill them. not turn them into a vamp.

Hi Bill, sucks to be back at work doesn't it!

What fun!
Still, I'm now planning my 21st (next month), so I've got something to look forward to!
How are we all?

I am lovely. Yup, lovely!!!
I've had 2 nights of undisturbed sleep which is the most for about 6 weeks now, the sun is shining, it's toasty warm, life is good and I am feeling lovely.
Anyone else wish to share my loveliness?

I know Chains, this is a big one for me being 40 and all, I never though that that many people would sign up.
( , Tue 21 Apr 2009, 10:56, Reply)

you would have laughed today - one of my lovely closest friends (female and taken) and I were talking today and first she hugged me, managed to undo my bra *through* my jumper and shirt and then groped my boobs. All in such rapid succession I was left standing there confused and wondering what the hell was going on.
*sighs* It was yet another of my many embarrassingly slow moments.

We're off to a wedding on Friday but I should be about Saturday evening - Lucy is letting me loose for the night - ON A SATURDAY!!!

I picked my guitarist up from his place to go for a practice.
He was a bit quiet, so I asked him what was up.
He said that he hadn't had a single call or text from anyone the week before.
I shrugged, and said "were you expecting one?"
Turns out it was his birthday... Whoops...
Can't believe his parents forgot it, pretty awful.
( , Tue 21 Apr 2009, 11:05, Reply)

@Dok - That is true, I share my birthday with both Petr Cech (Chelsea keeper) and Cher. I am so proud(!)
@VC - Hahaha, that's brilliant!
@Spike - Sounds like a plan, will let you know!

pretty sad kaol. did you give him a man hug and love?
EDIT: AA - it was incredibly difficult doing it back up!

No... I'd forgotten it too...
T'was ok though, we're even now!
Although he realised he'd forgotten mine when we were in the pub with a load of mates, and they insisted on trying to embarrass me by singing "happy birthday".
*laughs*
I did buy him dinner though.

That's just nasty of them!
Vampy, how could you not have known what was going on? Was her hand under your jumper and shirt?
( , Tue 21 Apr 2009, 11:11, Reply)

Are you sure it was an 'accident'?
Did she give you a cheeky smile as she did it?
Haha
p.s. Found you on myspace quite by accident!
( , Tue 21 Apr 2009, 11:13, Reply)

I was talking to another friend at the same time and my bra isn't like.... SUPER BRA or anything, just one of those ones where you have to angle it right and it unfastens. She just snapped it and undid it! took less then a second!
Edit: You found me on myspace?! Eek! how?!
( , Tue 21 Apr 2009, 11:14, Reply)

How offputting would that be for a sound bite?
You're in the bedroom, getting hot and heavy. You reach round to undo her bra and all of a sudden you hear a Brian Blessed-esque 'SUPER BRA'!
Would put me right off!
( , Tue 21 Apr 2009, 11:17, Reply)

I was on workboresme's profile, went to click on a band in it, mouse went spakky and clicked on you instead.

EDIT: @VC - Haha, just seen that entry. I am only curious of one thing. Why in the bastarding fuck would you ruin a pizza with feta cheese? Ugh!
( , Tue 21 Apr 2009, 11:42, Reply)

Still it will be good to hear some of your stuff.
"Foat"ing sounds somewhat nasty though. You'd love it really, everybody would!
( , Tue 21 Apr 2009, 11:48, Reply)

very creamy - a good way to soften the blow of the intensity of the chilli - it coats your throat on the way down...
yes that was deliberate
( , Tue 21 Apr 2009, 11:49, Reply)

But I just don't think you can beat Mozarella on a pizza, tis godly.
I am a big wuss with spicy food though, it's terrible! Unless it's for a dare/bet, in which case I will eat pretty much whatever is put in front of me!
( , Tue 21 Apr 2009, 11:53, Reply)

Iron Guts Challenge. I won - but never ever again. I spewed chunks when I got home that night.
And I love spicy food.

think of an old lady's minge. Someone related to you. The greyer and wrinklier the better.
That's my top tip for today! (and I am not that arousing - trust me light)
( , Tue 21 Apr 2009, 11:58, Reply)

Is my housemate's brother.
He works in a factory, and in a bit of bravado, claimed he can eat his curry hotter than hell.
So someone bets that he can't eat one from the nearest takeaway, he of course takes the challenge.
The curry he ordered was a Phaal, but just to up the stakes, he wanted extra chillies in it.
He managed to finish a full plate of it, and now can eat Phaal without much difficulty at all.
I can't even eat a feckin Madras without a little bit of a sweat. Still tasty though :D
( , Tue 21 Apr 2009, 11:59, Reply)

I used to really struggle - now I love the stuff!

It's lunchtime!
Today I'm having chicken super noodles, with cheese topped baps for accompaniment. It's the week of payday, and I have no other food, haha.
You lot?
( , Tue 21 Apr 2009, 12:07, Reply)

I had sushi and jelly for lunch today. Separately - not together!
Nommy!
( , Tue 21 Apr 2009, 12:09, Reply)

is great, but while I can eat it without serious issue, I don't enjoy it if it's too hot. I like to still be able to feel my mouth so I can actually taste the flavours. A Madras is about as hot as I'd want to go, and I usually order something which is a little less hot.
As for lunch, tuna mayonnaise rolls. With no spice.
( , Tue 21 Apr 2009, 12:11, Reply)

the key to eating really hot stuff is to mix coolants with it - so lots of cucumber, greek yoghurt, etc. Makes a world of difference.
( , Tue 21 Apr 2009, 12:14, Reply)

I've got chicken baps and mini cheddars for lunch.
Yumitty yum
( , Tue 21 Apr 2009, 12:19, Reply)

I'm London based so no NY couch space available, on top of that I can find a local hitman cheaper than your flight would be so I'll have to go back to plan A I guess.
In other news I now can't get hold of anybody at the client I need to install equipment at this afternoon who'll agree to the needed downtime.
:-(
Edit: Lunch was a crispy duck wrap thingy

( , Tue 21 Apr 2009, 12:29, Reply)

Why not save yourself the trouble and just get a tubbity jar of Nuttela?
( , Tue 21 Apr 2009, 12:32, Reply)

I've been eating that stuff ever since I was old enough to pick my toast toppings!
Nutella on croissants. yummo!
( , Tue 21 Apr 2009, 12:33, Reply)

Nutella just doesn't have the crunch of an aero bar.
But it is nice though.

Has anyone ever tried eating a Mars Bar or Snickers with a knife and fork?
Try it (with a bit of ice-cream on the side)- sounds odd but it tastes completely different!
( , Tue 21 Apr 2009, 12:38, Reply)

Eat my snickers bars the same way as when I was 10...
1 - Bite the choccy off around the sides.
2 - bite the choccy off the bottom
3 - bite the choccy of the caramelly loveliness at the top (this is the tricky part)
4 - eat the rubbish milkyway bit at the bottom
5 - save the sticky caramelly nutty loveliness till last.
6 - lick fingers and pointedly ignore the looks of the other suits on the tube.
( , Tue 21 Apr 2009, 12:43, Reply)

although it does sound like fun!
AA, they're my baps......all mine!!!!
*ruffles hair, tickles under chin*
( , Tue 21 Apr 2009, 12:47, Reply)

I'm a little shocked to say that I do the exact same thing with Milky Ways. Always have - ever since I was wee.
I don't eat Mars bars.
( , Tue 21 Apr 2009, 12:52, Reply)

I'm off to grab some lunch then go and deposit my (bloody limping - not limping with blood, but I hate it when he's poorly) dog with my dog trainer who has promised to look after him all nicely - including giving him an hour's massage every day! I'll be lucky if I manage to wangle ten minutes in exchange for giving the fella a blowie while we're away.
Then I'm packing and going to Florence. Oh, and the weather there is going to be crap, you may thank me for the heatwave you will no doubt experience in my absence.
Byesy bye!
( , Tue 21 Apr 2009, 12:53, Reply)

So what about the little fella? Didn't he have a say in the matter? Haha
( , Tue 21 Apr 2009, 12:53, Reply)

Ah. Resurrection.
@Kaol. Pfft! A mate told me the story of a friend of his (yeah, I know...) who stayed on a farm. There were two neighbouring farms, Upper and Lower Backside. He stayed in No. 1 cottage of the former.
Therefore his address was 1 Upper Backside.
Allegedly.
