My nephew plays in his local under-10's football team. Because of my work I happen to get the local rag for his area, and have just read a report on the junior football league in which he is cited as 'having quickly established himself as one of the best defenders in the league after an outstanding season'.

The league he plays in is one where football scouts are often seen looking for the next generation of players.

I'm in a similar situation
My 10 year old Nephew is absolutely football bonkers. It would normally make me proud it's just he takes after his dad and supports bloody Rangers!

Still I am giving him all the support and encouragement you need at that age, sniff, the support aNDF ENCOURAGEMENT THAT I NEVER HAD!!!!

my friends lad
just got signed at Oldham Athletic. He missed out at Man U by one place and missed out at Bolton, and Everton. OA will be great for him. A professional football contract!

He's 7.
