What are you light years behind everyone else on?
I started watching Shameless last night after a year or so of refusing to watch as I hate chavs. I watched the first episode and then stayed up til 4am watching the rest of the first season - got the rest on download now.

Next up The wire.

Watch the wire first
I loved it,

I've just started watching Arrested development, I was up until 2am, and didn't tidy the flat as I had promised myself I would.

+1 for The Wire
Also I've only seen the first seasons of Prison Break and Battlestar Galactica, both of which I want to see more of.

Primeval - I intend on fixing this over the next few days
House - Not watched it in 3 series

But I still think Lost and Shameless are both shit.

Lost was great for the first two seasons
now its shit
(, Tue 16 Jun 2009, 11:19, Reply)
Simple
I missed one episode without realising, so was completely left behind.

I went back at another time, and got the episode I'd missed, before carrying on with the series. I finished the next 4 or so episodes, then realised it was absolutely wank.

The Wire
Is the best thing I've ever watched.

I'm so sad that it's over - MY LIFE IS OVER

I tend to wait until they're in Blockbusters for a tenner each, well worth it.... if I do get around to watching them.

What is The Wire about?
Never watched it.
(, Tue 16 Jun 2009, 11:18, Reply)
Baltimore Cop show
but it's split between the drug dealers and the cops so you see both sides.
It's an astonishingly good show.
(, Tue 16 Jun 2009, 11:20, Reply)
It also avoids
the familiar clichés of most television series.

When things kick off things REALLY kick off!

Battlestar Galactica.
I've only just finished season 3. My friends who watch it nag me constantly to hurry up, they're nearly at the end of the final season.

It's fucking excellent and I was sad when it finished. I'm about to start reading The Corner:A Year in the Life of an Inner-city Neighbourhood which is by the creators of The Wire though so I'm looking forward to that.
