Pickled onion monster munch

But they're hard to get hold of.
Failing that, Seabrook's prawn cocktail.

Prawn cocktail.
But only when they were in clear plastic bags and not the rubbish foil ones, foil has ruined them.
( , Tue 16 Jun 2009, 16:32, Reply)

My local shop doesn't get them in that often, but I can never buy just one packet of them.
They're soooooo amazing. Seriously.
( , Tue 16 Jun 2009, 17:49, Reply)

I just don't know.
*sniffs*
At least we can console ourselves with the green flavour ones.
( , Tue 16 Jun 2009, 16:40, Reply)

They were awesome.
Maybe we should the awesome power of the sams to bring back prawn cocktail ones
( , Tue 16 Jun 2009, 16:41, Reply)

although they're not crisps, I demand the return of WHITE CHOCOLATE PRETZEL FLIPZ.
( , Tue 16 Jun 2009, 16:49, Reply)

Either them or the killer one-two of a Kit-Kat chunky, followed by a chunky Milkybar.
( , Tue 16 Jun 2009, 17:00, Reply)

That's a hard one to beat Becky, although the spicy ones were my faves.
( , Tue 16 Jun 2009, 16:35, Reply)

Although they were better in the Paperish Bags
Closely followed by Salt and Vinegar McCoys, and the technically-not-a-crisp Flaming Chilli Doritos.
( , Tue 16 Jun 2009, 16:38, Reply)

The Thai Sweet Chilli "Posh" McCoys also take some beating..
( , Tue 16 Jun 2009, 16:40, Reply)

them shits was FRESH, yo. Proper fiery mustard - almost WWI-ish in intensity...
EDIT: SHIT! Just agreed with 'Weeker. This simply will not do.

Unlike your taste in music!!

Indian Tandoori Seabrook crisps? I think the last time I had a packet would be at least 12 years ago.
Also, not many people remember the time Seabrook tested sweetcorn flavour crisps. They started out ok but by the time you'd finished the bag you felt quite sick.
( , Tue 16 Jun 2009, 16:38, Reply)

Such is my love for them.
I preferred Monster Munch in the old days, but you can buy the old-style beef ones now. Yum.
I also loved Benson's crisps in S&V flavour. 'member them??
M&S used to do good S&V crisps. So flavoursome they made you sweat.
McCoys - packed with flavour. Especially the steak/beef.
Skips get forgotten about, but if you get a really powdery flavoury pack, they're a treat.
Let's not forget Space Raiders.
Has anybody been able to get hold of some Yasser Arafat crisps?

as I've never bought a bag of crisps in years, but when I was a kid I couldn't resist Smith's Cheese & Onion Square crisps.
Reformed starchy goodness in a geometrically pleasing shape.
( , Tue 16 Jun 2009, 16:40, Reply)

And introduced Foil bags which ruined the flavour somewhat.
( , Tue 16 Jun 2009, 16:41, Reply)

of thinkgs packaged in foil. They did it to chocolate bars too. I want my Mint Aero and my Galaxy in foil and paper thanks.
( , Tue 16 Jun 2009, 16:54, Reply)

Such is the dominance of foil I completely forgot about the old days of paper foil combos. Much nicer!
( , Tue 16 Jun 2009, 16:56, Reply)

just to confirm the disappointment of foil packaging.
( , Tue 16 Jun 2009, 16:45, Reply)

I really like S&V Square crisps and also S&V French Fries.
I also loved those Puffs crisps but they've been long gone for years!! :(
( , Tue 16 Jun 2009, 16:42, Reply)

An old-school tactic was to crunch them up prior to opening, and then tip the contents into your mouth.
Saved a bit of faffing around...
( , Tue 16 Jun 2009, 16:43, Reply)

Aww I used to do that too!! :)
About 4 years ago I found some in an ice cream truck (of all places) and I brought the guy out. I have never seen them since! *sobs*

My brother goes every so often and buys me a box of them
( , Tue 16 Jun 2009, 16:56, Reply)

Waaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhh!!!
That's the most exciting news EVER!! :)
I have been looking for them for YEARS!!
YIPPEE! You're a frickin' genius!
( , Tue 16 Jun 2009, 17:00, Reply)

The flat's going to be full of cheap crisps now. ;)
( , Tue 16 Jun 2009, 17:10, Reply)

If you want me to keep buying you the sausage and mustard crisps you'll hush! :-P
( , Tue 16 Jun 2009, 17:12, Reply)

You do get sick of them after your 24th bag.
( , Tue 16 Jun 2009, 17:14, Reply)

Not meeee, I miss them so much I would probably consume two boxes in a day!!
( , Tue 16 Jun 2009, 17:16, Reply)

Christ, I saw the carnage when she discovered some crisps she liked in Aldi.
( , Tue 16 Jun 2009, 17:18, Reply)

and they're yummy.
I don't do drugs, I don't smoke, I do crisps and Mountain Dew, oh and candy floss! :)
( , Tue 16 Jun 2009, 17:20, Reply)

I want some now.
I can easily polish off a multibag in a few hours, but with the puffs I had to put the box away or I'd be eating them for the sake of finishing them. That would be wrong. All gone in three days.
( , Tue 16 Jun 2009, 17:25, Reply)

I remember the packaging quite clearly though. I even think one of the flavours was "Plain" instead of "Ready Salted"... Such were the days.
( , Tue 16 Jun 2009, 16:57, Reply)

S&V discos. And Squares. I just need to find some triangular crisps and I'll be set
( , Tue 16 Jun 2009, 16:42, Reply)

Can't believe I forgot them.
And only the little pale blue and white packets. All other chipsticks are inferior, Morrison's come a close second.
( , Tue 16 Jun 2009, 16:43, Reply)

that were in a pink bag with newspaper print on them.
( , Tue 16 Jun 2009, 16:47, Reply)

because I don't like smokey bacon flavoured things. They smell like fuzzy red hair.
( , Tue 16 Jun 2009, 16:49, Reply)

If that's what becky was on about in the post above.
They were NICE
( , Tue 16 Jun 2009, 16:54, Reply)

any with newspaper print on though.
The ones out at the moment have the same Smiths bags as they used to.
( , Tue 16 Jun 2009, 16:56, Reply)

Frazzles are frazzles. These were bacon chipsticks. Very different things
( , Tue 16 Jun 2009, 16:56, Reply)

Never was a chipsticks man. I only ever knew the SnV or Ready salted varieties....
( , Tue 16 Jun 2009, 17:03, Reply)

1) Beef and Mustard Brannigan's
2) Cheeseburger Quarterbacks
3) Sausage and Mustard Tyrell's
4) A good old fashioned Quaver
5) Walkers Cheese and Onion
Golly. No wonder I'm a fat bastard.
( , Tue 16 Jun 2009, 17:09, Reply)

I often prefer 'real' crisps when I can get them because everything is made of rice in Japan.
If you like salt and vinegar, try Tyrell's Cider Vinegar and Sea Salt. They are crispy heaven.
