By the power of radiography
I have magnificent teeth and a wonderful smile...according to my dentist. He was quite tickled when I told him that we use the same machines as them for animals, especially the dental scaler. So no extractions, no poking with pointy bits of metal, just a quick x-ray and looking around with the tiny mirror on a stick and NO PAIN :)

When did you last go to the dentist and did it hurt?

I last went
aboput 3 years ago because I chipped my tooth on my tongue bar and had to get it filled :( It hurt because th dentist was a heavy handed cunt who hit the nerve

Couple of weeks back.
Had to have a new tooth put in.
Didn't hurt, as there was no nerve in the stump.

I need to pounce in a fortnight
there's a new dentist near me hopefully taking on patients (patients??)
But there's no advance way of getting in there first. I just have to wait until the 14th of July and run down there screaming "ME! ME!"

Ha, I just had to phone up and ask to be taken on as a new dolescum student NHS patient
which they agreed to quite happily. At no cost :)

I want to see the dental hygienist though as I've quit smoking again and want to get all the tartar and plaque and stuff taken off. But that's £50, so I'll wait till I have a job to get that done.

got an appointment in the next couple of weeks
my teeth are incredible though so there won't be any pain nor more than a cursory examination.

also, company-paid-for private dental care FTW!

I havee the kind of teeth that are strong enough to crush bone

and as such have never had any poking scraping etc, this is all good, they do however look really rather British, which is not so good.

Anyone spare £4k for some cosmetic dental work?

This morning
no pain, just the usual clean & polish

cancelled my 6 monthly check up as I was skint. Haven't got round to rebooking an appointment.

It only hurt my wallet. £40 for a check up is a bit steep, but I trust my dentist, which takes a lot for me.

And the hygienist brutally assaulted my mouth for twenty minutes.

That's what happened to me
she buzzed away in my mouth with something, and then she said 'rinse' I spat out a load of blood with sand in it

In November
I had an impacted wisdom tooth taken out. They gave me amoxycillin to reduce the infection/swelling, which it turns out I'm allergic to - quite badly. I had the fucker out anyway though, it hurt and I acted like a big fucking girl.

(The dentist gave me a transformers sticker though...)

I was so scared of dentists when I was a kid that I used to run away.
Tru dat.

Never even had a filling!
BOO-YAH!

Went for the first time in almost 10 years 6 months ago & was expecting the worst after years of fizzy drinks, smoking, mouth piercings & general disrespect. But no, excellent strong teeth that are apparently "very well looked after". Get in.
