but I also know his wants and we can't afford to go spending £500 on a server and just need to remind him of this before we have to go through his in-depth 5-page, 3-year, heavily-macroed spreadsheet budget - all. over. again. God, I was dreaming about Excel functions for 4 frickin' nights after the last incident.
I sympathise with him over the bowling. Bowling is tedious. If you want to knock things over, use your feet. Or a sledgehammer.

Host my own websites and stuff. It proved to be extraordinarily useful. I love having it, but now I've moved all of my stuff to datacenters so i have no need for it :P

www.thewallapp.com is the main one right now, its still under development though.
I also host my own SAN (RAID5 volume basically). Backup service and a few other bits and bobs. Its just to prevent me paying billions on hosting at a datacenter.
