True Blood started showing on Channel 4. I watched it and thought it was pretty good. Anyone else see it? Has anyone watched it already on satellite/illegal download? Does it stay good?

But the fucking advert breaks that came 7 minutes apart were a pain in the arse.

There's something very wrong when a UK channel puts so many adverts in that they inflate the runtime of a US show...

so there weren't many ads
(, Thu 8 Oct 2009, 12:33, Reply)
so a quarter of the timeslot it was given last night consisted of adverts.

here, the general practice is - start a program, wait two minutes, then adverts (which run anything up to 8 minutes, though they do say how long they will be). the same at the end - two minutes left, 5 minutes of adverts, then return for the final 2 minutes (which includes credits).

When I saw it started at 10 and finished at 11:20 I thought it must have been some extra long pilot episode or something. But no.

I'm so excited. My mate assures me I will love it.
I may have to skip past the credits. The song is amazing and reminds me of my summer. And summer's over.

Please do likewise haha.

the show stays in the general area of the plot but takes many different roads to get there

It's veryveryvery good. If I ever recommended a show, it was this one. I should be on their street team or something.
