in favour of a Terry Pratchett wank-off, what are we all doing?
I have my marvellous brother staying at mine tonight. We will be watching DVDs of Hawkwind at the Treworgey Tree Fayre '89, and the Sex Pistols at Brixton last year - both of which we attended. We shall get high as kites and rather drunk and will hopefully be asleep pretty early. In the morning we are going to see my daughter whom I miss like mad.

then a night in with the Mrs, I will most likely get stoned, cook some delicious food involving chicken and bacon, get more stoned, watch Let the right one in, or begin season 5 of Weeds.
Tomorrow I shall be recording stuff for my epic project, and getting stoned.
Sunday I will most likely be going surfing.

After reading the book I was really looking forward to watching the film.
Don't get me wrong, it was a good film and some of the casting was brilliant, but it didn't live up to the book, they cut lots out! Booo! :(

I got the impression that it wasn't all that horrifying from my mate, and from whoever mentioned it earlier, yet the box seems to disagree. what's your opinion?
(, Fri 9 Oct 2009, 10:55, Reply)
will pile on the gore and buckets of blood!!
I don't think the budget was massive for this film so there is a dodgy bit of CGI but most of it is clever make-up etc and done well I think.
Sometimes its nice to see a film which hasn't gone OTT with blood and guts, I'd rather use my imagination - its a far freakier place!

sounds good. not sure if my other half will enjoy it, but I'm sure I will!

but then I'm not a big fan of a lot of horror stuff. Love vampire and werewolf films though. even shit ones.
she has quite simple tastes when it comes to films really.

I've met her husband. And it was outside the gates of St Margaret's Primary School, and he wasn't wearing any trousers.

Of course you were at the school too, 'grooming' 12 year olds no doubt! :P

I like them unkempt, like street urchins. Your husband prefers them smartly coiffed.

See I wasn't going to go down the gay route, I was going to give you a break, but you pushed me too far buddy!!

but yesterday the opportunity to make a cock joke was too great and I did. I'm sorry.

At least we can't blame one another if we're both cracking jokes I suppose!
Right, I'm off to consume vast amounts of pizza at low low prices!

and she's having a dinner party. She told me last night that a mutual friend is making dessert, so I offered to make the starter to take some pressure off. So I'm bunking off work at 2pm to go home and cook up a big pot of leek and potato soup, and I think I'll surprise her by making some little white bread rolls to go with it.
Saturday morning will be spent recovering and welcoming daughter back for a week from 11am, and the rest of the weekend probably consists of a few naps and scouring the local countryside to pick enough blackberries to make a jar of jam with kiddo. Rock and roll, fuckers!
Edit: wrong reply link, fuck it.

Now, about David Bowie and the Beatles...

Mustn't forget the racism; it's what our society was built on. Until we gave them their countries back.

for my first full session. After that some chicken and garlic mushrooms and a bottle of fancy plonk.
Beyond that lies a great mystery that is an unplanned weekend. It may involve a haircut, though. And possibly a curry.

Nah, I'm going to get my eye checked out and then BGB is visiting for the weekend.

Me and Spike are off to see MICHAEL MOTHERFUCKIN MAWSON!!!!
Basically, he's a bloke who plays Metallica, Guns N Roses, Whitesnake, The Killers, all random stuff like that. But he plays it on a keytar, which automatically makes it 100000x cooler.
www.myspace.com/michaellawsonrocks - Here he is

which would have been a crap gig, since he was burnt to death in a Walthamstow bus shelter.
Ironically he clearly wasn't sufficiently 'Street Tuff'.

Tonight I'm drinking cocktails out of teapots in my favourite basement bar on earth. I was talking to my friends and we realised that I have not been there for almost two months. This is shocking. Absolutely wrong.

Out on the town.
Tomorrow and Sunday I'm moving house. Exciting times.

He's moving in over the road from me. He can cook and he has a car. This could be the most useful neighbour I have ever had. I don't hink he knows this yet.

Minding the cat so that parents/landlady won't know my every move. Also, holding a spare set of keys so that the aforementioned figures of authority don't see me drunk with broken toes and sludge on my arm when I've lost my keys.
