amber leaf is only for when you run out of baccy and have to use a fag machine and don't want straights

Golden Virginia for the win!

God I could enjoy a rollie now, is that wrong seeing as I haven't smoked for three years?
(, Thu 21 Jan 2010, 14:19, Reply)
golden virginia is my second choice

(, Thu 21 Jan 2010, 14:20, Reply)
Golden Virginia is to mild
and I don't like straights.
(, Thu 21 Jan 2010, 14:29, Reply)
you want drum gold then

(, Thu 21 Jan 2010, 14:30, Reply)
I'll give it a whirl
The Golden Leaf is actually quite nice and only costs £2.60
(, Thu 21 Jan 2010, 14:33, Reply)
that's one of the advantages of drum gold over golden vag
it's £2.70 or something

Domingo tobacco
If you see it, buy it.

Fucking lush.
(, Thu 21 Jan 2010, 15:23, Reply)
Not so
American Spirit is better for, you see, it contains no chemicals.
(, Thu 21 Jan 2010, 14:20, Reply)
never even heard of that, let alone seen it in the shops that I buy my baccy in

(, Thu 21 Jan 2010, 14:20, Reply)
What did you cook in the end?
I guess steak and mash, I had deep fried risotto balls with hollandaise sauce and spinach last night which was incredible.
(, Thu 21 Jan 2010, 14:23, Reply)
thanks
now whatever I have for lunch will seem shit
(, Thu 21 Jan 2010, 14:24, Reply)
Unless your lunch is a dodo egg poached in unicorn tears

*cries into weetabix*

(, Thu 21 Jan 2010, 14:28, Reply)
that sounds incredible
I had steak and mash, but the steak was marinated in soy and fish sauce with garlic and ginger, and the mash had soy sauce and spring onions in it.
and with caramlised 5 spice leeks.

Do I win a prize?
i was at a restaurant, but i've made them at home before, really easy, make a nice sticky risotto, form balls, dunk in whisked egg, breadcrumbs, fry.

Risotto balls deep fried in breadcrumbs, done
(, Thu 21 Jan 2010, 14:29, Reply)
no, because I mentioned that I would probably eat that
and I detailed it in another post last night.

mmm. I don't deep fry stuff at home though. never seems worth the oil.

In Rome they call them 'suppli' I believe
They have a little ball of mozzarella in the middle and are classic street food, like those gorgeous deep fried courgette flowers.

I really, really want to go back to Rome this spring, to glug wine al fresco sat at the foot of a fountain in Trastevere.

*cries*

NB this time I do not wish to take so many drugs that I develop vertigo, for the first time, at the top of the dome of St Peter's, though. That was horrendous.
(, Thu 21 Jan 2010, 15:00, Reply)
The chances of this happening seem slim

The drugs I mean not the whole trip.
(, Thu 21 Jan 2010, 15:17, Reply)
I don't know actually
Last time I went I had 'contacts', this time I wouldn't...
(, Thu 21 Jan 2010, 15:22, Reply)

(, Thu 21 Jan 2010, 14:26, Reply)
That gave me the worst cough of my life
After a few months' smoking. Also with no additives is Pueblo tobacco. Tastier and easier on the lungs for my money.

American Spirit yellow soft packs (straights) are the shit though. I buy them on special occasions.
(, Thu 21 Jan 2010, 15:12, Reply)
not cheap, are they?

(, Thu 21 Jan 2010, 15:59, Reply)
almost £6 in my local waitrose
