What an odd week
It's gone from great, to terrible, back to great.

Monday - 14 hour day - Great, got an absolute ton of work done with a good soundtrack keeping me entertained.
Tuesday - 14 hour day - Terrible, had a tiny lunch, was hungry by 5pm, and had to keep working until 10pm just to make a dent in the amount of work I had.
Wednesday - Great - Day was nothing spectacular, but evening was ace, Liverpool won, and I had a great time with mates.
Thursday Day - Terrible - Got a 10 minute lunch, spent the entire afternoon glued to my monitor as I had to start working out what we could possibly delete off a full server
Thursday Night - Great - Gave my statement at the police station, was informed that the lad is wanted by 2 sets of Police, and a conviction in my case was pretty much guaranteed, plus compensation. Then went and had a curry and a few beers bought for me.
Today - Fucking Terrible - Just had some cunt who has very little idea about my job telling me what I should and shouldn't be doing. All this was delivered with a shit eating grin. Plus my friend from earlier in the week (fake suicide) has found out she's suffering from split personality & bipolar, so now she's terrified her child will be taken off her (single parent, 20 years old)

So I have high hopes for tonight, as it should be amazing!

How has your week been?

I SAW LOADS OF DOGS TODAY, AND SOME RABBITS, AND SOME CATS, AND SOME LIZARDS, AND SOME RODENTS.
Oh man, I had one of the best days of my life today, so many animals.

Went to a few different pet shops =D

Man, I'm so high on watching puppies for a good few hours, I should work with dogs or something, you can't be sad around a dog, and if you do manage to be, they'll know and try to cheer you up.
Man, I know that sounds completely autistic, but I really really like dogs.

Unconditional love and companionship !
(, Fri 22 Jan 2010, 17:12, Reply)
This is so true.
I can't wait til I can get one.
(, Fri 22 Jan 2010, 17:23, Reply)
What kind of Dogs, Gonz?
JUGS (Jack Russell and Pug cross-bread) !
King Charles Spanials !
Bull Dogs !
Something that looked like a chiwawa which wasn't my cup of tea.

And I'm getting a pet rabbit and I'm going to call it Willard, and I've got a book about training it to do tricks and all that.

And I'm going to put it's hutch in the hall and put some astro-turf on top and grow plants on top of that and make it look awesome and garden'ey, but indoors, and it'll look soo cool. And when the rabbit is ready, it'll run around the house and when I sit down to watch hollyoaks it'll come to me for petting and I'll train it to piss and shit in Sexface's bed and I will get a top-hat for it to hide in as they like hidey-places so that would look awesome too.
(, Fri 22 Jan 2010, 17:10, Reply)
awesome

(, Fri 22 Jan 2010, 17:11, Reply)
I love Willard already

(, Fri 22 Jan 2010, 17:21, Reply)

(, Fri 22 Jan 2010, 17:25, Reply)
I wonder if I can get a harnis for it and take it out for walks down the street.
That would be soo cool.
(, Fri 22 Jan 2010, 17:37, Reply)
Oh GOOGLE !
images.google.co.uk/images?rlz=1C1GGLS_en-GBGB341GB341&sourceid=chrome&q=rabbit%20leash&um=1&ie=UTF-8&sa=N&hl=en&tab=wi

I wanted to see if I can get a harnis for my rabbit and take it for walks down the street, but I get adverts for vibrators and pictures of iraqi war criminals.

Oh man, I can take it out to clubs and be all like "Hay babe, want to see my rabbit?", It'd be a totally chick magnet. I might get a white cane and dark sunglasses and walk it down the street.
(, Fri 22 Jan 2010, 17:40, Reply)
Oh Gonz
I wish I could look out of my window and say "Hey look, here's Gonz and Willard, I'll put the kettle on!"
(, Fri 22 Jan 2010, 17:53, Reply)
Oh man, tha'tll be soo cool.
I'm going to train him to play some sort of video game, maybe even set up a webcam.

Not if it's cleaned out each week.

(, Fri 22 Jan 2010, 17:33, Reply)
Hay smells.
Even if you're scrupulously clean you cannot avoid the smell.

I'm not trying to put you off mate, rabbits are ace, just a friendly word of advice re the smell.
(, Fri 22 Jan 2010, 17:38, Reply)
my mates have an indoor rabbit
never noticed a smell.
(, Fri 22 Jan 2010, 17:41, Reply)

Fucking hell I can't top that!
Met a deadline, got a name for my venture, racked up some cheevos on Batman. Ruby last night, in the pub now. GnD in heaton chapel, if anyone cares. Under £2 a pint. Sadly, it's Fosters.

Re your mate: so one could, in theory, have a three way with her? Awesome. See, every cloud... Just having a little fun folks, that's all.

not too bad all things considered.
Mental ex has been mental as per fucking usual, but this has not upset me too much, for a change. I am learning not to listen to her criticisms.

Saw an old mate, talked about getting a band together, and am seeing another old musician pal this evening to get DESTROYED.

So yeah, all in all, moderate with a chance of DMT.
(, Fri 22 Jan 2010, 17:13, Reply)
Sounds potentially insane
Watch out if it's the white stuff

I'm a one-man crime wave Monders, you know that.
I've got Nepalese hash, Thai weed, 2 grams of the old hokey (it's not brilliant though) and some marvellous DMT.

I have beer, a nice Malbec, cognac and Drambuie for drinkies.

Rock on, as they say.
(, Fri 22 Jan 2010, 17:26, Reply)
Ha, yes indeed!
A little bit waaaay, a little bit wooooah.

Nice haul squire. Not in to green mesen, like. DMT?! What's that? I'll be cracking open my 18yr old Glenfiddich tonight, I think. No bugle though, having a week off.
(, Fri 22 Jan 2010, 17:29, Reply)
DMT is a mightily powerful psychedelic
that only lasts a few minutes at a time. It's fucking EPIC.

Up and down like yours
Monday - Quiet, chilled out indoors watching some old episodes of Las Vegas

Tuesday Day - Interview A - Went very well, nice people, nice company, unfortunately it is a shift based job in Feltham so the travel for it will suck if I get it.

Tuesday Night - Met a random Australian in my local who had arrived that day after travelling around South America for three months, he then went on to buy lots of drinks and convince me to take him to a strip club where spent a fortune before we were eventually thrown out at about 3AM.

Wednesday - Interview B - Unfortunately I don't think this went as well as the one the day before but I'm hopeful especially as it is for a nice seeming company who are close by doing a 9-5 so much more preferable than the other one.

Thursday - Another Quiet one indoors, annoyingly one of the TB drives in my main storage array died but at least it is under warranty so I just have to sort out RMAing it to Seagate.

Today - Got a text from a friend who I'd given a CV to a few weeks ago and it looks like his company wants to see me soon, could be good athough going back to doing normal IT after all this time in media might be a bit wierd at first. Also uploaded some new images to my OKCupid profile and got a message just now so a good day all in all so far.

Was there some forrin slipped in there, paragraph 5?
Good luck with your endeavours.
Are you the person who told us about Opera Mini 5 Beta?
(, Fri 22 Jan 2010, 17:51, Reply)
more tech speak then forrin but yes,
the Opera mini news bringer was me

That changed my life.
I have a netbook now but it Opera still helps on long journeys.
Tech=forrin
(, Fri 22 Jan 2010, 18:18, Reply)
Bloody Mini 5 beta was shit.
I went back to 4.2 after trying to get used to it. I can't even remember what bugged me about it but it bugged me so much I had to revert. Gutted.
(, Fri 22 Jan 2010, 18:23, Reply)
I adore it!
It's like a proper puter but on your phone!!
(, Fri 22 Jan 2010, 18:24, Reply)
It's better than most built-in phone browsers
but there was a specific flaw, a difference between 4.2 and 5 beta that pissed me off so much. I think... Actually, it kept erasing the whole content of a textbox I was editing, at random, sometimes after a few words, sometimes after writing out a long and interesting blog post. I ended up shouting at my phone after the twentieth time I lost masses of text and deleted it without a second thought.

Plus I've been using Mini 4 for a good couple of years now. I'm so used to it, it almost hurt to upgrade.
(, Fri 22 Jan 2010, 18:32, Reply)
I find it does that text thing.
But I also find that it only does it if you exit and return. So long as I make sure I'm entirely happy with what I'm about to submit and don't go back with any afterthoughts, it doesn't freeze or delete..?
(, Fri 22 Jan 2010, 18:39, Reply)
Started awful
Got better, had an ace time yesterday evening and now I'm fully depressed again.

Back to Newcastle tomorrow and I can't face going.
